On Sale at Sephora featuring Pat McGrath, Natasha Denona, Tarte

There are some recent markdowns/additions to Sephora’s sale section of some products I’ve reviewed well, so here’s a list of what’s on sale along with links to reviews and swatches.
Natasha Denona
Natasha Denona Lila Mini Eyeshadow Palette ($12.50, was $25.00) is a palette I’ve found myself reaching for (particularly for Poison Berry and Linen, a great brow bone highlighter for me). Review / Swatches / Look
Natasha Denona Safari Eyeshadow Palette ($99.00, was $129.00) is an all-matte eyeshadow palette with more muted, earth tones. It has a mix of cooler and warmer shades, and for the matte lover, it is a nice addition. I find it does complement Natasha Denona’s other palettes, too, and the muted quality of several of the shades makes them less dupable than other palettes. Review / Swatches / Looks
Natasha Denona Tropic Eyeshadow Palette ($99.00, was $129.00) is a brighter mix of colors (mostly in the bottom row) paired with warmer neutrals. There’s a lot to enjoy about the palette, though it wasn’t the strongest effort from the brand–but then the intensity of a shade like Zena is a reminder of how high the brand can go. This one is only worth grabbing if you’re a big fan of Natasha Denona’s formula and don’t mind using a wet brush/firmer hand with some of the shimmers. Review / Swatches / Looks
Pat McGrath
MTHRSHP Palettes are on sale for $27.50 (regularly $55.00), and uh, no-brainer for me to recommend since I love Pat McGrath’s eyeshadow formula. I find the MTHRSHPs to be fantastic in quality and great, more edited (read: more “affordable”) options. Most of these are out of stock now, though if you’re dying for one, you might check back periodically to see if inventory releases (unlikely but occasionally occurs).
Pat McGrath Subversive Metalmorphosis Eyeshadow Palette ($27.50, was $55.00) includes a mix of more metal-inspired shades. Review / Swatches / Looks
Pat McGrath Subliminal Platinum Eyeshadow Palette ($27.50, was $55.00) is a slightly cooler, more neutral set of shades. Review / Swatches / Looks
Pat McGrath Subversive La Vie En Rose Eyeshadow Palette ($27.50, was $55.00) is a pink/purple themed set of shades. Review / Swatches / Looks
Pat McGrath Sublime Bronze Ambition Eyeshadow Palette ($27.50, was $55.00) is a mix of warm-toned neutrals with five shimmers and one matte shade. Review / Swatches / Looks
Tarte
Tarte Tarteist PRO Remix Palette ($24.50, was $49.00) contains all shimmers across neutrals and pops of color. I really love this palette, though it is all shimmer, so it works best as a complementary palette with your favorite mattes. The quality was superb–pigmented, creamy, and blendable–and one of Tarte’s better offerings in the last year. (The original Tarteist palette is also on sale for $24.50.) Review / Swatches / Looks
Tarte Tarteist PRO Glow Highlight & Blush Palette ($22.50, was $45.00) is a nice set of warmer-toned, mid-depth cheek colors–it would well for light to medium, warmer toned skin in particular (though anyone can wear anything, truly!). Review / Swatches

Really sad I am on a strict eyeshadow no-buy right now! I’d definitely pick up a couple things otherwise. But I need more eyeshadow like I need a hole in the head, gotta use up what I have, and there will be more sales in the future.
Dang it! PMGL Dark Star was on sale too and I missed it! I’ve been wanting that palette for ages!
Totally snagged the purple Pat palette…it’s been on my wishlist! So excited to have it so cheap!
Shoot, the MTHRSHP palettes sold out!! I’m going to pick up the Mini Lila palette. So sad I wasn’t fast enough to get the Metalmorphosis. Also sad to see all the MUFE sale shadows were sold out.
SO fast. I’m curious if PMG or Bergdorf Goodman will discount soon…
I wondered that, too Christine.
Bronze Ambition has been on my wish list for a long time so when I saw they it was on sale, I ran to my nearby Sephora and they had it. There was no sign for the sale but they were on sale at check out. There were still quite a few of them in stock when I was there so good luck everyone.
Thanks for posting this! I was able to pick up the PMG Subliminal Platinum Bronze in store for the sale price. The sale wasn’t posted anywhere in store and when I asked an associate they said it’s not yet on sale but it was discounted when scanned at the register.
I picked up Subliminal Platinum and La Vie en Rose the second I saw them on the sale page and I knew the Pat McGrath palettes would sell out, but I didn’t know they would sell out this quickly! They were the last two I needed to “complete” my collection, so I’m quite eager to have them – and they were quite literally two for the price of one.
This is a fantastic sale to start my day. I’m glad I checked their sale page.
Well, some of us ‘declined in purchases’ types, just got a 15$ incentive. How timely.
I’m eyeing both PMG Platinum and La Vie En Rose if they are on sale at Sephora Canada (PMG is not yet part of the sale, but Tarte, UD etc. are). I already have Bronze Temptation and it is a gem.
I wanted to buy UD Born to Run but after some consideration, I decided not to. I wanted it mostly for the two greens (Radio and Big Sky) and the fact that it has a variety of colors in one palette, but I’ve read some negative reviews lately from consumers who returned it b/c of the fallout and the fact that some of the colors are muddy. I don’t know if there are some batches that are faulty, but I don’t want to take chances.
I picked up Subliminal Platinum Bronze and Sublime Bronze Ambition. I could not pass them up. I have recently discovered my love for bronzes/taupes and weirdly don’t have many in my collection at all. I have been eyeing these particular palettes for at least 6 months. Kind of sad/disappointed I missed out on Bronze Temptation because of them all that one was calling my name the most. Metalmorphosis and Dark Star are gorgeous, but I decided to pass since I knew I wouldn’t use them often. I also decided to snag 2 Cover FX Shimmer Veils in Moonstone and Amethyst because they were on sale for $14 each. I also bought a MUFE Aqua XL Color Paint in Matte Orange because I fell in love with the look Allana Davison did in her latest YouTube Video and it happened to be on sale! Wish I would have snagged the pink one too, but it’s all good!
Dang, I guess the Pat McGrath sale items are a US-only type of thing. I recall a similar case during the Spring sale last year. Sephora’s US website had Natasha Denona palettes on sale; however, the Canadian site unfortunately did not. I hope that this isn’t going to be the case with Pat McGrath this year…and that it’ll show up in the Sale area soon… fingers crossed!
Girl, you’re the real MVP. Thanks for letting us know!
Well, wow, this is a pleasant surprise! Unfortunately, I have to reign myself in until the 1st. What I would like to get would be the PMG MTHRSHP in Sublime Bronze. It would work so nicely with all the other PMG Bronze palettes I have already, possibly even helping to tie those together better.
I wanted Metalmorphosis but it was already gone by the time I saw this post at around 9am PST. Oh well! Not like I have any lack of eyeshadows over here.
Thanks for the heads up! I got the mini-ND palette that I’ve been wanting for awhile. The Pat McGrath ones were already gone, but I’ll live.
Figures that here in Canada, none of the Pat McGrath palettes are on sale. Some of the Natasha Denona ones are but they’re still out of my price range and I’ve never had the chance to see/swatch them. Several of the palettes for which I paid full price are now on sale but I don’t feel too bad – I’ve had the joy of owning them and using them for months, so that kinda makes up for the sting to my wallet.
Fingers crossed that eventually they go on sale in Canada, too!
You are a true goddess!!! I cannot thank you enough for letting us know about the Sephora sale. I went in today and scooped up the Pat Mcgrath Subliminal Platinum for my older sister; and the Subversive La Vie en Rose for me. Platinum will be tucked away for a bday present later in the year; and, I cannot wait to use the rose palette. The prices and formula cannot be beat!!! Thanks again. 🙂
So glad the sale was in stores, at least, so this post wasn’t a total waste, LOL! I was like, well, geez, I should have just posted immediately instead of trying to write out summaries with how fast the palettes were going online!
If you are lucky enough to live near a Sephora with Pat McGrath there are still palettes there. Just got two from the one in SF.
Are all of these being discontinued?
Most of these were LE, I believe!
I am so proud of myself for staying on my no-buy. All this temptation and I managed to resist! I am flying to Vancouver tomorrow so my money is being spent elsewhere.
*cries in European* Why are we always left behind?
I totally trust your recommendations and I would absolutely love the small Lila and one of the MTHRSHPs, but well…
Calling all Canadian ladies – Is it just me, or is anyone waiting for the 2018 Holiday eyeshadow palettes to go on sale here on the Sephora Canada website?! The red one (‘Sublime Bronze Temptation’) – I find it’s much easier to reference them by the color of the outer packaging as opposed to names – goes sporadically on sale in the v.early AM PST; however, the Blue (‘Subliminal Dark Star’) and the Pink (‘Subversive Metalmorphosis’) have both yet to hit the sale. Does anyone have any ideas as to if/when the blue and pink ones will go on sale?
Until then, I’ll be lurking =)
So missed them!!! Boo hoo! But since I was on a no buy, it’s best. But still, boo hoo. 😉
