Marc Jacobs Pink Parade, Not Sorry, Tempt Me Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquers Reviews & Swatches
Pink Parade (376)
Marc Jacobs Beauty Pink Parade (376) Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer ($28.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a soft, pink-peach base with bluish pearl throughout. It had semi-sheer to medium pigmentation in a single layer, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without emphasizing my lip lines. The gloss had a lightweight, gel-like texture–plush, smooth, and spreadable–without being tacky, which made it supremely comfortable to wear. It lasted well for three and a half hours and was hydrating over time.

It is supposed to have "maximum color and brilliance" and "shine like 30 coats of lacquer." The formula has a mint scent but not much flavor from what I could detect. While the brand's general description is "maximum color," they seem to modify that with individual shade descriptions as several shades are specifically described as "opaque" and a few are noted as "sheer" with the remainder having no specific coverage descriptor (as of April/May 2020).
This seems to suggest that the rest are neither sheer nor opaque but somewhere in-between--I would lean toward "semi-opaque" to be closer to "maximum color," though I really think that's quite confusing to the customer. It would make more sense to simply describe it as a range of sheer to opaque shades or that they're medium coverage (as a whole).
The coverage ranged from semi-sheer to opaque with a fair amount of shades between medium and semi-opaque payoff in a single layer, and they do have a very high-shine finish that makes my lips look more voluminous.
The consistency was smooth, like a creamy gel as it was a bit thicker (without being heavy or tacky), and very easy to spread across my lips. It was comfortable to wear and moisturizing over time. Some shades smoothed out my lip lines, though it wasn't consistent throughout the range as a few settled into them (usually paler, milkier shades).

Not Sorry (378)
Marc Jacobs Beauty Not Sorry (378) Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer ($28.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a bright, medium-dark fuchsia pink with subtle, cool undertones and a dusting of lighter fuchsia sparkle. It had medium color payoff that adhered evenly across my lips, but it found its way into a lot of my lip lines, though it seemed worse on my upper lip (which isn’t normally the case). The texture was lightweight, smooth, and comfortable to wear without being tacky. The gloss wore nicely for four and a half hours and was moisturizing while worn.

Tempt Me (380)
Marc Jacobs Beauty Tempt Me (380) Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer ($28.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a medium, purple-berry with subtle, cool undertones and fine pearl strewn throughout. The consistency was smooth, spreadable, and comfortable to wear without tackiness. The texture of this formula is truly its high point, but they often lack coverage (despite the marketing), which is also where this particularly shade lost significant points. The gloss had medium color coverage that went on fairly evenly, though there was a touch of product that built up in my deeper lip lines. It stayed on well for four and a half hours and was nicely hydrating over time.

I was considering Tempt Me but wasn’t sure if it would make my teeth look more yellow. lol Do you think that Pink Parade is at all like the Pat McGrath gloss Pale Fire Nectar?
Pink Parade is more pigmented, and it has this bluish shimmer that I think is harder to replicate – but you might not see a massive different depending on your natural lip color and whether you’re layering it or wearing it alone!
Pink Parade is GORGEOUS! Very ethereal and airy looking shade for summer!
However, the one I would have gotten had it applied as pigmented on the lips as in the arm swatches is Tempt Me. On the arm, this is the purple of my dreams! On the lips, nope.
T”hey often lack coverage?” Huh. So far I own 2 shades of Enamored and I’ve never had trouble with coverage on either of them. My guess would be that there’s something in the formula that reacts differently to our skin and adheres well to my lips, but not to yours.
What does do you have? That might be useful information in order to compare 🙂
The shades I have are Ch-Ch-Changes (a recommendation from Tammy!) and Love Buzz.
Ch-Ch-Changes are rated 9/10 for pigmentation – Love Buzz was sheer on me 🙂
OK! I guess Tempt Me just runs sheer. Good to know!
