Marc Jacobs Beauty Yours to Try & Fawn Over Me Le Marc Liquid Lip Crèmes Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Yours to Try
Marc Jacobs Beauty Yours to Try Le Marc Liquid Lip Crème ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium peach with warm, orange undertones and a satin finish. There was a noticeable sheen, but it wore down to more of a true satin finish after two hours of wear.
The formula is supposed to be hydrating, long-wearing, and have full coverage. If you like the idea of liquid lipstick but prefer more of a satin finish and something more forgiving on the lips, then this formula is going to be more suitable for you. If you prefer a flat, matte finish that’s transfer-proof, then this formula will not meet your needs. It is, literally, a liquid version of lipstick–it feels like a lightweight lipstick with light to moderate slip that lasts four to six hours. The consistency was smooth, easy to spread across the lips, and covered evenly and didn’t sink into lip lines initially. It was very pigmented and comfortable to wear over the five hours it lasted, though it was more non-drying for me.

Fawn Over Me
Marc Jacobs Beauty Fawn Over Me Le Marc Liquid Lip Crème ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium, peachy beige with a hint of pink and a creamy, satiny finish. This shade was a little glossier than Yours to Try, but it wore down to a true satin finish after a couple of hours on the lips.
The liquid lipstick has a smooth, lightweight feel to it–creamy without being too thick or too watery–and spread across the lips with fairly even coverage. I noticed that some of the color gathered into lip lines initially, and it did seem to worsen over time, though there was enough slip that I could smooth the color out of lip lines by rubbing my lips together. It had nearly opaque color coverage that lasted for five hours. It seemed lightly hydrating overall to me.

I feel like these could be a total hit or miss on me…. I’m tempted to find out 🙂
I hope you like them!
Neither color will look good on me, but the formula looks nice
It’s a very muted shade range — will be curious if they do richer/deeper shades.
They sound quite comfortable to wear, although I already know that neither shade would look good on me. But definitely nice and smooth in appearance for those who can!
They are very easy on the lips!
Don’t like these shades, at all. But I will say, the formula looks good on your lips!!
Totally understand! 🙂
These seem like a miss for me in color but I’m glad they aren’t drying!
I can see these colors not being for everyone!
Formula wise this is perfect for me. I am gravitating away from traditional lipsticks and more liquid lipsticks either matte or satin finish because I feel like I use them more. If BiTE and Melt Cosmetics, can make a great liquid lipstick I would be in heaven with that and Smashbox, Laura Mercier, Too Faced, Dior, Dose of Colors, Buxom and even Sephora’s brand because I love those all.
Bite actually has a liquid lipstick, though it is not matte. It’s been a minute since I’ve used any, but I have reviews for them. I looked it up, and they’ve been quietly discontinuing shades.
How does this formula compare to the Nars velvet lip glides?
They don’t have the same texture or finish.
