This is fantastic and if I had the extra budget for a luxury version of these staples in beautiful packaging, I’d be all over it.
I love your eye looks using this palette, but I am hoping a few of the traditional spring pastel shades! This reads January to me!
Oooooh Dove Affair and Steeletto, how YOU doin’?
Love the pencils as always, and rue that they perform poorly on me. Dove Gray and Steel(etto) are terrific. Do I recall ever seeing a blunt tip on these before? Is this an anti-breakage adjustment?
They were all this blunt to begin with as were the ones I bought when they formula first launched, so I think this is the norm for the Fineliners!
All the fine-liners are blunt, as they’re meant for the waterline (and because they’re so fine-tipped). I love the fine liners for that purpose and that purpose only but I think I’m “covered” with the 3 I have (and a backup!)
This palette doesn’t scream spring to me but it does appear to be a nice, cohesive palette. I usually get along pretty well with Marc Jacobs e/s formula and have several of his palettes in this format. I really love the liners and in particular Dove Affair. Even the lipstick doesn’t say spring but looks more fall like. I don’t think this is going to be one of my only two allowed e/s palettes this year and the liners are not the best on my eyes so this collection, sadly, will be an easy pass for me. As you always say, Christine, money saved!
Love this palette and the eye look, but I canāt justify buying anymore palettes at this point. I probably have similar shades already.
If I were to ever get an all cool-tone e/s palette, this could well be the ONE. Far superior to the UD Naked Smoky palette in have that sees little use. Although I must admit that when I want a deep bluish grayish smoky eye plus time and patience….it can work.
A lovely cool toned palette full of beautiful grey shades. It will be interesting to see how they review.
Love the colors, but I agree…this doesn’t say ‘Spring ‘ to me. I really like the looks you put together, Christine.
I did pick this up and so happy I took the plunge! I am so ready for cool toned palettes and with the addition of a cool pastel like a pink or a different lavender shade, this could easily transition into spring.
I just received the new Viseart Liaison palette so between that, Smashbox Punked, and the other cool tone palettes I have, I’m trying to tell myself I don’t need this…
This e/s palette would have been perfect last fall but I already purchased the Dior Midnight Wish Eyeshadow Palette (Holidays 2018), so an easy pass for me.
Anyone else noticed the phrase the shade names make?
“Rule the concrete jungle, sidewalks become sparkling catwalks.”
Or is this common knowledge and I am a late bloomer? ;-/
It’s buried in the marketing – might have been emphasized more when they re-did the palettes to begin with, but here’s what they say:
Read the shade names from left to right for a short poem:
rule / the concrete / jungle / sidewalks / become / sparkling / catwalks
I had initially thought I’d want this palette, but seeing the swatches, I feel it’s a little dark. I love the look of (Dove) Affair liner, though, and will probably pick that up š
I hope this will preform well as I find myself really liking the colours in the palette. I probably have a lot of dupes and if so I’ll probably not get it. It does really speak to me, though.
The liners are gorgeous Dove(affair) is very lovely.
Iām game for the fineliners in DoveAffair and Steeletto
cant wait for the review!!
What a beautiful, versatile set.
Looking at the eye shadow shades, left to right, reads as follows:
Rule the concrete jungle,
Sidewalks become sparkling catwalks.
Just thought I’d mention …
