MAC Pamela Vamplify Lipgloss
MAC Pamela Vamplify Lipgloss ($21.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is described as a “dirty rose.” It’s a muted, medium rosy brown with warm undertones and a cream finish. It had opaque color payoff with a smooth, even application that wore for four and a half hours and was comfortable to wear. Anastasia Kristen (-, $16.00) is lighter (95% similar). MAC Spice (P, $21.00) is cooler (95% similar). Urban Decay 1993 (P, $20.00) is less pigmented, warmer (95% similar). Chanel Caresse (LE, $30.00) is lighter (95% similar). Estee Lauder Desert Heat (LE, $36.00) is warmer (90% similar). KVD Beauty Lolita II (P, $20.00) is less glossy (85% similar). Jouer Fifth Ave (P, $17.00) is lighter (90% similar). Maybelline Charmer (P, $7.99) is lighter, cooler (90% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Love Drunk (320) (P, $29.00) is lighter, warmer (85% similar). MAC Tuned In (LE, $20.00) is more shimmery, warmer (90% similar). MAC Lust (PiP, $21.00) is lighter (85% similar). MAC Bittersweet Me (P, $21.00) is darker (85% similar). Natasha Denona Mauve (P, $26.00) is more shimmery, lighter (80% similar). MAC Spite (P, $21.00) is more shimmery, lighter, cooler (80% similar). ColourPop Biscotti (LE, $8.00) is less shimmery, darker (80% similar). Tower 28 Cashew (P, $14.00) is less shimmery, lighter, less pigmented (80% similar). MAC Show Me (DC, $19.50) is darker (95% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
MAC Till Death Do us Part Vamplify Lipgloss ($21.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is described as an “intense dark purple.” It’s a deep, dark purple with cool undertones and fine pearl. It had semi-sheer to semi-opaque color payoff that is hard to apply evenly. Due to the deeper color and gloss formula, I think this one needs a lip primer/lip liner or a more opaque (more matte!) lipstick underneath it to apply more evenly. The color wore for four and a half hours and was lightly hydrating. MAC Dreamz (LE, $18.00) is more muted, warmer (90% similar). Maybelline Royal (P, $7.99) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). MAC She-Rebel (LE, $20.00) is warmer (90% similar). Anastasia Purple Rain (-, $16.00) is more shimmery, warmer (85% similar). KVD Beauty Televator (P, $22.00) is more shimmery, less glossy (90% similar). Makeup Geek Backstage (P, $15.00) is warmer (80% similar). Giorgio Armani #604 (P, $29.00) is less shimmery, less pigmented (80% similar). MAC Night and Daze (P, $21.00) is lighter (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
FORMULA OVERVIEW | MAC Vamplify Lipgloss ($21.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is supposed to have intense, vivid color paired with a moisturizing, glossy, long-wearing formula. Some shades are very pigmented while others are semi-opaque, and some shades apply evenly while others are more streaky. They have a light-medium thick consistency that’s not heavy or goopy, but it’s not really thin; however, they’re really smooth and creamy, so they feel nice on. There’s no tackiness initially, and it feels a lot like lip balm to me–soft, smooth, and my lips felt supple. I find they develop light to moderate tackiness as they wear on. They wear anywhere from three to five hours and are lightly to moderately hydrating over time. The formula has strong, vanilla scent (stronger than their lipsticks; I can smell it for a bit even when it is applied, not just in the tube) but no discernible taste.

LOVE! I just got Pamela and I’m even more excited now.
YAY!
Where did you get Pamela? It’s not for sale on the site yet.
I actually love the purple one. Do you think if spread very thinly, like a stain, it would look more even (albeit more sheer)?
Maybe very, very thinly? The problem I could see happening is that it’s just not a formula conducive to really getting a thin, even layer.
Mac Pamela is really pretty, will probably get it. Benn wanting to try the Vamplify glosses for a while now.
Hope you love it, Lily!
Pamela looks good. Too bad Till Death Do Us Part isn’t more opaque.
I wish the purple one was opaque!
These look so much like KVD liquid lipsticks.
I bet the purple would look good over a black lipstick!
Similar tube but totally different look on 😉
Pamela is such a beautiful color but I need to stop buying lip products. The struggle is real.
You can resist!
Love the MAC Vamplify formula! Pamela is pretty but I already got Tuned In, one of my fave glosses, so I’m set. also love the color Til Death Do Us Part, but worried it might be too slippery since it’s a gloss, might go for the Brooke Candy lippie instead
Just got spared! I do have Nyx Chocolate Crepe , with Colourpop So Wavy and EL Shameless on my “to-get” list. With super intense shades of purple, I prefer a more satin or semi-matte finish. Admittedly, these are both gorgeous shades though!
These are lovely! I think I’ll be trying to snag Till Death to Us Part and Witching Hour for sure. Fingers crossed — one never know with MAC releases.
Purple lips seems to be a thing! I like both, but lipgloss goes gloopy so quickly.
Pamela is a definite yes! Till death do us part?? Meh, I’m on the fence with it. If it was totally opaque, it would be a definite yes…..I may have to try this in person. Maybe layering it over something??
Oh yeah! More Vamplify! Sign me up for both! Love this formula!
Pamela is a gorgeous colour! I thought it was too brown and warm but wow!
I love the Nude color. The purple color appears to be poor quality! Looks like MAC is borrowing/ stealing Kat Von D packaging. They could have stuck with their classic packaging, which works anyway! Nothing ground breaking here!
Even though it’s patchy I can’t help but like it!
I love the Vamplify formula! I wish they were permanent. I will be picking both of these up.
Me too! Such a shame it isn’t permanent.
