MAC Strawberry Malt Lipglass Review, Photos, Swatches (Archie's Girls)

MAC Strawberry Malt Lipglass
MAC Strawberry Malt Lipglass

MAC Strawberry Malt Lipglass ($16.50 for 0.17 fl. oz.) is described as a “bright red.” It’s a pinky-red with cool undertones with no shimmer. MAC Cult of Cherry is darker and has ruby shimmer. MAC Send Me Sailing is redder. MAC Wicked Ways is a touch redder. NARS Strawberry Fields is pinker.

It has mostly opaque color coverage with a subtle translucency that gives it a very juicy, almost jelly-like, finish. It also seemed extra glossy compared to other shades in the Lipglass family. I didn’t have any problems with this feathering or bleeding on me when I wore it.  This will definitely pair well with Ronnie Red and give it a really rich, glossy look.  Strawberry Malt wore for four hours well.  The texture and consistency were as expected for Lipglass, which is a thicker consistency and tackier texture than the average gloss.

Gaaah this is such a cool color! Definitely gonna try to get it! I’m guessing it’s a lot brighter and pinker than MAC’s “Venetian”, which will be amazing for summer!

WOW this is so pretty! I so wasn’t expecting it to be so nice! Now I have to think if I get this or Kiss & Don’t Tell lipglass. I feel like I SHOULD get this, I don’t have any lipgloss quite like this one!

Out of all the products I’ve seen from this line, this is the only one I want so far. It looks more watermelon than strawberry to me, but it’s so pretty all the same

I got my Archie Girls items today and fell in love with this. Tried it over Ronnie Red and it was so beautiful and glossy! My lips are fairly pigmented and on me, YSL Glossy Stain 13 was a pretty close match for the two together. But I love this alone too so I’ve got to pick up a backup!

Weird, I just got this in the mail today and my packaging has Betty on it! I know it’s silly, but I mainly ordered it b/c I wanted one of the Veronica products…I wonder if a lot of the packaging got mixed up?

Christine, I’m deciding between Russian Red and Strawberry Malt lipglass- the only other lipglass I have is Mall Madness and I bought that one to test out the texture. I did like it so I want to get another. I saw that you did a review of both, so I was just wondering, which one do you like better?

thanks for your prompt response 🙂 I hadn’t heard about the texture being different anywhere else in the beauty blogosphere, so I will keep that in mind!
