MAC Snowflushed Extra Dimension Skinfinish Review & Swatches

Snowflushed
MAC Snowflushed Extra Dimension Skinfinish ($33.00 for 0.31 oz.) is a peachy-orange base with peach-to-pink shifting pearl and sparkle. It had good pigmentation that was buildable to full coverage with half of a layer more. The texture was smooth, despite being a rather glittery shade, and dense, so a moderately dense brush and a medium hand worked best–it had the baked gelee-like texture that doesn’t have any powderiness, isn’t stiff so much as just denser in the pan. The powder applied evenly to bare skin and diffused along the edges, but the base color was fairly prominent so it added warmth and an orange-brown tone to my skin, along with a strong peach-to-pink shift, depending on the angle. Some of the sparkle/glitter migrated beyond my cheeks over the eight and a half hours it lasted for, though.

The Extra Dimension Skinfinish formula is supposed to give “the perfect glow to the skin” with a “creamy powder formula” that wears for “10 hours.” It’s a powder highlighter that I’d describe as a moderate to intense highlighter, and they come in varying hues with some that might work as highlighting blushes/bronzers are on some skin tones and true highlighters on other skin tones. In general, the formula is very pigmented, blendable, and wears around eight to nine hours on me.

This looks beautiful – the pattern reminded me of the Dior and Chanel ones. Gorgeous shade.
I’m out and about wearing mine today! With Caketop on my lips over Marque lipstick, and Joy To on my eyes over one *very* deep smokey eye. I’m still debating whether I like a two-toned cheek or not, LOL!
Sounds beautiful, Nancy. You are making me want Joy To even more! Did you take a pic for IG? I would love to see the look. This is too deep for me to use as a highlighter but would probably make a pretty eye shadow or maybe a blush topper although not sure about the two tone effect.
Thank you, Deborah S.! I’m sorry, but I didn’t take any pics of this look yesterday, I wish I would have. As for Snowflushed, it is a beautiful blush topper or highlighting blush, but it is definitely duochrome and quite sparkly!
This reminds me of Stylishly Merry #2 from last year’s holiday collection.
I looked at them here side by side and I don’t see much difference.
This is very interesting to me. I absolutely love Smashbox Prismatic Pearl. It is 90% similar. I can’t decide if that means I should buy it or pass!
Even though I’ve started to filter out products that earn less than an A on here (I only have so much money to spend and I want to make sure I’m getting the best for that!), this really is tempting me. The colour is so unbelievably beautiful and I just adore the packaging (I know that shouldn’t make a difference but… it really is tempting!)
This looks really beautiful! And unlike anything I have in my stash so I’ll likely pick it up 🙂
Really, really beautiful, but I fear it would be too brown-toned for me.
The packaging for this and Oh Darling is so nice I’m considering picking one up. I was pretty interested in seeing this compared to Prismatic Petal as I have that one.
Hi! Too Faced’s Diamond Canary Highlighter is a 99.9% dupe for this.
