MAC Pink Cult Blush

MAC Pink Cult Blush ($20.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as a “mid-tone neutral pink” with a matte finish. Now this is a neutral pink, unlike yesterday’s Pink Tea. It is a neutral-cool, light-medium pink with a slightly gray cast. Bobbi Brown Nude Pink looks similar on, but it’s definitely pinker. Illamasqua Chased is also similar but a touch less neutral. This is like a paler, more neutral version of Coygirl.

I’ve been wearing Pink Cult since early this morning (so it’s been around seven hours now), and it looks surprisingly fresh and intact. The texture of this blush is soft, slightly powdery due to its matte finish, but very blendable and easy to use. It’s one of those everyday shades that you can’t overdo–you can as heavy-handed as you’d like with this shade! Because it has more of a neutral undertone, even though it does read a bit cool-toned in the pot, it will be a shade that adjusts against your natural skin tone in a very flattering way.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! I have this from when it came out with the Jeanius collection a year ago, and it’s by far my favor blush I own. It seems to work with almost every look, providing a very natural flush. I don’t know how it would work on darker skintones, but on my rather fair, neutral skintone, it’s to die for.ite

Omg, Christine you look gorgeous, those colors really work amazingly on you. I pre order this one on my nordstrom counter, and after this, I am really happy I did. Thank you for all tha swatches you have been doing these past 2 days.

Am actually going to have to buy a backup of this as I don’t use the one I have as much as I’d like! Hooray for Pink Cult’s return 🙂

GASP! This is a really pretty photo of you! 🙂 I actually forgot what the post was about looking at that picture! I had to scroll back up and go, “Oh yeah, blush.” LOL!

I was just at MAC today and was able to purchase this. Actually I was able to also purchase some Extra Dimension eyeshadows. I went to MAC to see if they had the Tres Cheek blushes so I can try them out (I’m a blush lovin kind of gal hehe) and the makeup artist had no idea what I was talking about. Ill have to go back April 5th and get me some blushes!

Hi Christine! I really like how you did your eyes there. 🙂 I was also wondering about your blush-on-face swatches; do you typically apply heavier so that it will show up better in photos or do you use as much as needed for a day look? Thanks!

I apply enough so that you can see it in photos, whether or not it is appropriate for a day look or not. I will always note in the post if I had to go to the max to get it to show up on my skin tone or not.

I’ve been sooo much into peach blushes lately for some reason but this one is too pretty to pass ! can’t wait to have it :)And is it just me or you’re getting prettier and prettier 🙂 xoxo

Hi Christine, just wondering.. in your beauty closet video I saw you had a few of the much coveted Rock & Republic blushes. Do you have Spank to compare to Pink Cult?? Ive been on a mad hunt for Spank with no luck, and they look similar.. any thoughts?

Is it a repromote? And Is this different to the pink cult from jeaniue collection as it appears so compared to your original review?
