MAC Nocturnals Lipgloss/Nude Set Review, Photos, Swatches
MAC Nocturnals Lipgloss/Nude Set
MAC Nocturnals Lipgloss/Nude Set ($32.50 for 4 x 0.08 fl. oz. or 0.32 fl. oz.) contains one Dazzleglass and three Cremesheen Glasses. Both Dazzleglass and Cremesheen Glass a pricey formula, because they don’t contain a lot of product (0.06 oz. and 0.08 oz. respectively), but the holiday kits are an excellent way to snag them for much, much less than they would be individually. The Dazzleglass in the set actually contains 33% more (0.08 oz. compared to 0.06 oz.), so the value of that shade alone is $26.67, while the three Cremesheen Glasses are, essentially, full-sized and are a value of $60. The tubes are slightly wider and shorter than the full-sized versions. All of the shades in this set are repromotes (meaning they’ve been released previously in some capacity).
Phiff! is described as a “light beige nude.” It’s a pale, peachy beige with gold and white sparkle/glitter. It’s sheer on the lips and adds a hint of warmth and moderate sparkle. The consistency is on the thicker side, and this shade wore for two and a half hours. Â I also felt some of the grit of the sparkle as it wore away. Â Chanel French Toffee (83) (LE, $27.00) has finer shimmer. MAC Soft Serenade (LE, $15.00) is more shimmery. Urban Decay Midnight Cowboy (P, $19.00) is similar. MAC Boundless Beige (P, $19.50) is lighter. MAC Moth to Flame (P, $20.00) is a touch warmer. See comparison swatches.
Boy Bait is described as a “light neutral beige with pearl.” It’s a pale, light-medium peach with subtle warm undertones and a cream finish. It had semi-sheer color coverage and applied mostly evenly with light settling into lip lines. It wears short of two hours.  This is part of the permanent range. MAC Flair for Finery (LE, $20.00) is slightly pinker. Bobbi Brown Air Kiss (LE, $19.00) is sheerer. MAC Summer Sweetheart (LE, $15.00) is lighter. MAC You’ve Got It (LE, $20.00) is more shimmery. MAC On the Scene (LE, $20.00) is similar. See comparison swatches.
Over Indulgence is described as a “neutral brown.” It’s a medium-dark, orange-brown with a cream finish and warm undertones. It had semi-sheer color coverage with minimal settling into lip lines (seemed more prone to it on my upper lip than my bottom). It applied smoothly and evenly, though. It wore well for two and a half hours. MAC Show Me (P, $19.50) is darker. MAC Strictly Plutonic (LE, $20.00) is a bit darker. MAC Kiss Don’t Tell (LE, $20.00) is browner. Chanel Impertinence (P, $32.00) is darker. See comparison swatches.
Richly Revered is described as a “vampy blue red.” It’s a muted, dark plum with subtle, cool undertones and a glossy, slightly creamy, finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage, and it did settle into lip lines somewhat. It managed to wear for almost three hours. Guerlain Madame Batifole (860) (LE, $30.00) is lighter. MAC Looks Like Sin (LE, $20.00) is warmer. See comparison swatches.

That boy bait looks different from the original release. I thought it was more milky pink.
I’ll get this as a gift for my niece who loves MAC nude glosses. Wish the packaging was cute like last years though. Last year they were in round pink box with a bow on it,a very pretty box. But I know my niece will love this!
I was hoping Richly Revered would be much darker.
Me too! Kind of disappointed they’re all sheer
This is the first MAC item I’ve actually considered buying in a while! Good value, very pretty items.
im buying this no doubt
over indulgence is permanent, not LE 🙂
