Rich, Luxurious Pinks Galore

MAC Luxurious Pink Lip Look Bag ($39.50) contains Lickable (lipstick, bright, clean blue pink), Call Me Gorgeous (Cremesheen Glass, bright fuchsia with gold pearl), and Great Catch (lip pencil, bright cream fuchsia).

The lipstick is 0.10 oz. (full-sized), Cremesheen Glass is 0.09 oz. (full-sized), and the lip pencil is 0.02 oz. (full-sized is 0.05 oz.). The value of the three products is $40.50, and then you also get a vinyl bag with leopard-print and pink satin that peeks through it.

Lickable is a bright blue-based fuchsia pink with mostly opaque color coverage and a natural sheen. This shade has a Cremesheen finish, and it is part of the permanent range. Tom Ford Aphrodisiac is darker, redder. MAC Insanely It is redder. MAC Gulabi is similar. MAC Catharina is lighter. MAC Full Fuchsia is a smidgen redder. Tom Ford Pure Pink is a touch darker.

Call Me Gorgeous is a blue-based, medium magenta pink with gold shimmer. It has semi-opaque color coverage and while it settles slightly into lip lines, it isn’t noticeable at a distance. MAC Full Speed Ahead is more opaque and a little cooler-toned. MAC Sassy Lassy is a lot lighter. MAC True Babe is more blue-based. YSL Pure Hibiscus is similar but has no shimmer.

Great Catch is a dark fuchsia-red with a modern matte finish (barest of sheens, but still, mostly matte).

When layered together, the result is a vibrant, medium-dark fuchsia pink with sparkle and a glossy sheen.  The whole combination wore for seven hours, though the glossy sheen wore off within an hour.  There was a slight stain left behind.  MAC really delivered on a luxurious pink lip look here.

I wish Cremesheens worked better on me!  Lickable lasts six hours on its own, and while I didn’t experience hydration, I didn’t find it particularly drying, which was a nice surprise (I usually find Cremesheens slightly drying!).  It does pull a little at lips when you go to apply the color, but it does eventually apply more fluidly as the temperature of your lips heat it up.  Call Me Gorgeous wore for two hours when I tested it, which is short for wear.  Great Catch wears long and well, but again, it’s not a very comfortable formula on its own as it tends to cling to lips and doesn’t add any moisture.

Christine do you think this would be too bright on fair skin – NW20? I’d love to get this set but will not be able to swatch them. Thank you for putting up all the reviews and swatches so quickly!

Lickable is my favorite lipstick! I feel duty bound to buy this set now lol, I wanna make it look even better.

Will you be reviewing Divine Desire Quite Coral kit as well?

That set is fantastic! The colors compliment each other so well, and it looks great on you. Complete with the adorable bag it’s so much fun. I really wish I could pull off a bright fuschia like that. It’s gorgeous!

I think the bag looks incredibly cheap but that lipstick is lovely and the last photo with all three combined…. spectacular!! The colour in that last photo looks a lot like MAC’s Pink Poodle lipstick which I think is now discontinued.

It’s cute and all, although the colors are a little bright for me. This seems like a better deal than most of the other palettes MAC has released so far this holiday.

I have Lickable and it looks so different on me! It’s a much darker pink, the lipstick alone on me looks more like the colour of the three layered products on you, Christine. I would imagine that it’s because I’m NC15 haha.

FYI, Girl About Town is a pretty close dupe for Lickable on my NC42 skin. I just checked this lip bag out because I wanted to see if it was worth buying, and I made a point to swatch Girl About Town next to Lickable. They looked about the same on me, but Lickable is sheerer and has more of a sheen to it (makes sense!). Just wanted to let everyone know since I know a lot of people love and own Girl About Town already!

I second what you say, I have also swatched Girl about town which I already own next to lickable and I could hardly tell any difference, they are the same color with different finish. They look the same in my NC15 skin, I don´t know if I need both…

I already have Girl about Town which is extremely similar to lickable on me…however the whole set together looks so lovely I´m very tempted, you look stunning in that last picture Christine, the products combined look spectacular on you 😀 .

This color is also very simular to “rare exotica” which is another limited edition color that MAC came out some months back. i purchased this and have been debating on returning it. i booked an appt and the guy used it on me and i loved it. only to return from my lunch to realize i have 3 lipsticks almost the same shade. no major difference. 🙁 i agree with most who say this collection is over priced! OAN i also purchased the vice pallete by urban decay..im totally disappointed with that as well. i get mad fall out and colors appear chalky. nice packaging tho 🙁
