Lee Hi

MAC Lee Hi Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a deep red with warm undertones and a satin finish. The consistency was incredibly smooth, dense but not heavy or too firm in the tube, and it applied evenly across the lips and never tugged. It was richly pigmented and yielded even coverage in a single layer. The color wore well for over six hours, left a slight stain behind, and was non-drying.

The lipstick will be released online on June 29th!

Formula Overview

$19.00/0.1 oz. - $190.00 Per Ounce

MAC Lipstick comes in a variety of finishes, and the pigmentation and wear tend to be dependent on the finish. The sheer finishes, like Lustres, tend to wear for only a couple of hours and have sheer coverage (as designed) and are non-drying.

Some of the original Matte shades have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a more velvety, silicone-feel to them, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most Matte shades are quite pigmented and long-wearing, though some are drying.

The Amplified and Satin finishes tend to have good pigmentation, lightly creamy to moderately creamy consistencies with a bit of shine, and moderate to long wear with deeper, richer shades wearing longer. The Frost and Metallic finishes have the most variance between shades with coverage ranging from semi-sheer to opaque with average wear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks are vanilla-scented but have no discernible taste.

So true. You killed me on the Mon ABH blush. Six dupes for Velvet and I wanted cheerio and fever. Call for the pink slip. I need serious head examination. Gotta rein it in.

Hahaha – this is SO my issue too. I absolutely love how this looks and I want to go out tomorrow on my way home from school (I pass a MAC store) and grab it. But I know I don’t need it. Helene, you are not alone in your “red lipstick problem”!

There’s something almost magic about red lipsticks. I’m almost sitting on my hands, thinking of shutting the PC down as it’s available online here. I’ll force myself to wait, at least a few days.
Besides I’ve had so much trouble with the MAC site here when it comes to payment so I am reluctant to use it. I’ve had to reenter my VISA number again and again, and it’s nor worked. Same with Clinique and they use the same site for payments.
Sorry to go off topic, making myself think of anything but red lipsticks. 🙂
Good luck passing the MAC store, Mariella!

Well – I phoned to see if they had one and would they put one aside. Turns out only select MAC stores have it “in store” and clearly they want you to order online. The nearest MAC store to me that has it is about an hour or hour and a half drive…sorry, no thank you. My preferred way to shop is in person and if MAC wants to make that difficult for me, they can kiss this sale good-bye. They’ve lost several hundred dollars of my business in the past year or two (not earth shattering to them, I’m sure, though I can’t be the only one!) because of this tactic of theirs. I’ll content myself with a dupe!

I actually misread the name on the side as “Leech” and was thinking the color was pretty morbid. I am relieved that is not the case, lol.
