MAC Into the Pink & Just a Pinch Extra Dimension Blushes Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Into the Pink
MAC Into the Pink Extra Dimension Blush ($28.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a light-medium pink with very subtle, warm undertones and a pearly sheen. At first, it seemed like it might have a more frosted shimmer to it, but as I applied and blended out the color, it yielded that same, glowing, luminous finish that I’ve come to expect from the formula. The blush had opaque pigmentation, but the softer consistency (that wasn’t dry or dusty!) made it easy to pickup less product on my brush for less coverage as well. The blush also blended out with ease, so if I felt like I over-applied, I could correct it. This shade wore well for almost nine hours before fading.
The Extra Dimension Blush formula is supposed to have “long-wearing colour with prismatic reflections” that wears for “10 hours.” The formula is typically very pigmented with a soft, smooth texture that’s firmer in the pan but not difficult to use–I had no issues grabbing color with even my softest brushes–and has no dustiness or powderiness in the pan. The blushes are usually blendable with a luminous glow on the cheeks that did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture. With MAC’s newly-added permanent shades, the wear time has ranged from eight to ten hours.

Just a Pinch
MAC Just a Pinch Extra Dimension Blush ($28.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a medium, peachy coral with warm undertones and gold and pink shimmer. The pink shimmer made it appear slightly pinker when blended out on my cheeks and kept the orange tones of the blush from appearing to bright. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that applied evenly and smoothly to the skin. The texture felt soft without being dusty, smooth, and blendable. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me before fading.

These are just so pretty- I love the finish! Into the Pink is adorable. I can’t wait for the roundup to see them all together!
They are gorgeous!
Lovely!
They are!
These are gorgeous! I’m so glad to see a new release getting largely great reviews. I already have MUG Romance (for Just a Pinch) and Milani Luminoso (for Fairly Precious) so I’ll probably only get Into the Pink, but these are great! I also like that the darker shades seem to be doing well also. MAC sometimes seems to have a hard time making fair and deep blush shades good.
I might say to swatch Fairly Precious in-store if you can – you might actually find a little different from Luminoso!
Ok that does it! I was trying to figure out which one of these gorgeous MAC blushes to buy, looks like it will be Just a Pinch! I don’t have any dupes, and it has such a beautiful dewy luminous finish, as in I-just-got-back-from-the-gym look, but without having to go, ahahahaha
Perfect 😀
I tried Into the Pink at the MAC store and was surprised by how much more pigmented it seemed or maybe just what an impact it had for what looked like such a light pink blush. And the glow from the finish…oh my goodness, it was so illuminating and almost magical.
The GLOW on these is phenomenal!! I’m impressed by how luminous they are but not emphasizing.
Love ’em both! Fortunately or not, I have a decent dupe for Just A Pinch in Essence Satin Coral. Although I would definitely say that I am crazy for the glowiness of Just A Pinch! So who knows? ?
I do not believe I’ve got any dupes of Into The Pink, however. Would be more likely to buy one of its darker dupes, as lighter pink blushes can look off on me.
I’ll concur that Just a Pinch has a much more amped up finish! Perhaps try layering a highlighter over Satin Coral to dupe it more?
I’m thinking that either MAC Highlight The Truth or KVD Opal from Alchemist may just do it? Or for a more crazy glow, ABH x Nicole Guerriero Kitty Kat!
I ADORE Just a Pinch. But I already have a pan of MUG Romance. I’ll have to really think about this!!
Maybe you can try it in-store!
Pretty Pretty!
They are!
“Just a Pinch” is a little bit more pink than what it looks in the pan but I love the formula of the Extra Dimension blushes! They add the right amount of sheen and glow to the skin!
The formula seems even better than before!
I picked up Just a Pinch and loved it. Need to go back for Into the Pink!
LOVELY!
Ooh, I love these. The colors are so beautiful, and in particular, the finish that looks like it just melts into your skin.
Im so impressed by these blushes!!! I swatched them in-store last week and was amazed at how pretty they are in person as well. I’m definitely getting at least 3 of them! Love both of these and also the Cheeky one!
