MAC’s Mineralize Blush formula is supposed to be a “blush that builds lightly” that has a lightweight feel and “luminous colour.” Gentle has a soft, lightly dusty consistency that blends easily and does “build lightly” as it tends to be sheerer but buildable. It’s an interesting hue as the base color is almost cool-toned, while the warmer gold sheen brightens and adds a lot of warmth to it. The finish has just enough shimmer to produce a luminous glow but stops short of emphasizing pores or the skin’s natural texture. I can see why this has been a long-time favorite (I picked it up to re-test after MAC updated the packaging). It lasted for seven hours on me before fading.

Very pretty, versatile shade, and I love how the gold shimmers are diffused when you blend out the blush
Me too! These always look better buffed in.
Looks plummy on your skin, very pretty!
Thank you, Yvette!
That is a beautiful color! It’d be a great fall-winter shade for medium to dark skin. I really like the Mineralize formula, even though it isn’t as long lasting, because the finish is so lovely and there’s a lot of shades.
The finish can be quite lovely on the Mineralize products!
So pretty and glowy!
It is a glowy one!
This is beautiful! I think I will have to buy it. 🙂
Enjoy it, Amber!
I love that it has some warmth to it because of the gold sheen! And I *think* the amount of shimmer is juuuuuuust subtle enough for my pores to handle, lol.
Woohoo!!
So pretty and fresh! I also really love that it has a cool base with warm golden shimmer. Same type of interesting effect as UD Rapture Afterglow blush. This one goes on my list of blushes to check out, and possibly buy, depending on how it looks on me.
It’s one of those interesting shades with the cool/warm dynamic!
Gorgeous. I’m all set with a couple of the dupes, though.
Good stuff! 🙂
Hi Christine! I was always a follower but this is my first comment. I love your honest reviews. Emphasizing pores don’t sound good to me at all as I have moon craters! 🙁 The only MAC blush I own (IKR?) is sea me, hear me from the Alluring Collection which I love! I really like this one too but out here in India, MAC prices are always hiking! 🙁
You look flawless! <3 xx
Thank you so much, Emmy! 🙂
Pretty!
It is!
Pretty! I really like their mineralize blushes!
What’s your all-time favorite?
Just A Wisp! It’s gorgeous : )
This is a perfect blush – really pretty and it looks great on you Christine. Gorgeous colour.
Thank you, Genevieve!
Heather Pop was on my to purchase list so I’m more motivated to get it. The list is so long it’s hard to keep track.
It is hard to keep it all straight, lol! Too many new things!
I like this shade. It gives you such a pretty glow! I gave my new Clinique Pops away to visiting relatives (adorable teen nieces). I think I’ll pick this one up 🙂
Hope you like it, Valerie! 🙂
This one seems to show pick up a bit of texture in your skin, but gosh it’s pretty. I’m not really one for ‘coloured’ blushes these days and prefer a nuder cheek, but subtle rose coloured blushes can sometimes win me over. I like, just not sure if it is a must have.
The plight of the Mineralize line! Such a fine line between glowing and emphasizing.
I read this response and found my head nodding in complete agreement.. thought I would mention this. 😀
Coincidentally this is the blush I wore yesterday and today. It’s an old favorite of mine that I’m getting back into. Back in the day I was planning on getting NARS Sin and then I saw this little guy.
Nice 😀
