MAC E for Effortless & Adore Me Love Me Liquid Lipcolours Reviews & Swatches
E for Effortless
MAC E for Effortless Love Me Liquid Lipcolour ($24.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a deep red with subtle, cool undertones and a satin finish. There seemed to be the finest amount of pearl throughout, but it didn’t give it a shimmery finish, just made it a little glowing. It had opaque color payoff in a single layer paired with a creamy, more velvety texture that was lightweight and fluid but not too slippery.
The product applied evenly, didn’t emphasize my lip texture–actually smoothed it in places!–nor settled into my lip lines. It wore well for eight and a half hours, left a strong, visible stain behind, and felt moisturizing.

Formula Overview
$24.00/0.1 oz. - $240.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be long-wearing with 12-hour hydration, comfort, and feather-resistant and non-bleeding wear. They are supposed to have "one-swipe, full coverage colour."
It's a liquefied lipstick that has a smooth, creamy consistency with moderate glide and more of a velvety-creamy feel, so it was never watery but not overly thick. This is not a liquid lipstick that dries down to a matte finish after a few seconds (or even a minute); they have a creamier, moderate shine initially that wears down to satin and eventually semi-matte as they wear on. They don't "dry down," though, and as a result, they are very comfortable to wear. This also means that they are not transfer-proof, but they pack enough color that there is plenty of product and still full-coverage left behind after drinking and light eating.
They applied with full color coverage and went on evenly (for the most part) without emphasizing lip texture or lip lines. The wear-time claimed--12 hours--is a lot, but most shades lasted between six and eight hours with a few leaving enough stain and color behind not to require a reapplication. The lighter the shade, the shorter the wear time, which is common.
They were comfortable to wear with a moderately hydrating feel, and they are the type of liquid lipstick I tend to reach for--something longer-wearing but still very comfortable. As they are creamier and a little thicker, it's important to remove any excess from the inner areas of the lips or to apply less and build up as necessary or else they tend to show up on teeth initially. I didn't have this recur throughout wear, though. There was a faint, vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

E for Effortless
PPermanent. $24.00.
Adore Me
MAC Adore Me Love Me Liquid Lipcolour ($24.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a rich, ruby red with cooler, blue undertones and a satin finish. It was intensely pigmented with a smooth, creamy consistency that was lightweight, fluid but velvety, which gave it a slight, hugging quality (but not clingy!) and helped the product stay on longer while still being a comfortable formula to have on. The color lasted nicely for eight and a half hours, left a strong stain behind, and felt very hydrating.

It’s nice to see the first couple of these review so well. I was skeptical about the long wear time (I think it promised 12, but 8.5 is a lot longer than I expected given the formula). I’m going to Ulta tomorrow, so I might pick up a couple. I’m not in the market for a red at the moment, but I may take my chance on Hey, Good Looking and maybe Still Winning.
Yeah, the wear time of 12 hours is reallyyyy excessive! The formula is longer-wearing than traditional lipstick for sure! The darker shades (like these two) are the longest wearing of the bunch from what I’ve tested so far!
I was so excited for these! Until I saw the inclusion of coconut oil, which makes my mouth hive like crazy. Such a disappointment lol. At least they are reviewing nicely so others can enjoy them :p
Awww, that is unfortunate! 🙁
oh, they look very promising? Do you define this formula as non trasfer? Is there any chance, in your opinion, of wearing them under a mask without too much mess? In this sense which formula would be better between this and the powder kiss?
Oh, they will get all over a mask for sure. If you really blot it down, you can probably get away with it, but otherwise… definitely not, lol!
I prefer this myself, but I’m at home so not needing to be in a mask either!
Oh, I suspected this. Many thanks Christine!! 🙂
Wow! I sure do hope and pray for an end to mask mandates, because E For Effortless is one knockout, pure glam lip! This one is so me.
These are a winner for MAC – beautifully rich and pigmented., hydrating too – which is a big bonus.
Dare I say? E for Effortless reminds me of Chanel Dragon Rouge Allure Laque.
These look fantastic.
