MAC Blonde Mineralize Skinfinish
MAC Naturally: Blonde Mineralize Skinfinish
MAC Blonde Mineralize Skinfinish ($28.00 for 0.32 oz.) is described as a “soft pink to rose degrade,” and it’s a limited edition blush/highlighter from MAC’s upcoming Naturally collection. It is a repromote, though, so if you’re an avid Mineralize Skinfinish collector, you should check your stash first. There are four “stripes” of colors with the lightest being a pale beige-y pink that moves to a medium beige-rose then to rosy pink and finally to a medium-dark rose.
Realistically, it’s a product you’ll swirl and use in combination than in individual strips (unless you used an eye brush to do so). You can go lighter/darker by staying on one half of the product with a blush brush, though. When swirled altogether, it yields a soft rosy beige with a high, not quite metallic, sheen. On fairer skin tones, it may add a bit of rosy color in addition to highlighting, but for medium to dark skin tones, you’ll find this works primarily as a highlighter. The overall mix of color reminded me of Chanel Pink Cloud, which has a subtler finish and slightly pinker appearance.
The powder feels very soft, silky smooth, which would normally make for a product that lies naturally against the skin, but the nearly metallic finish does emphasize the texture of the skin, whether it is pores or imperfections. While I didn’t test out the wear of Blonde (I tested out Redhead on one cheek with Subtle Breeze on the other), other M S tend to wear six hours or so before they begin to fade on my normal-to-dry skin.

You look beautiful in the last picture! I’ll definitely think about picking this up.
Thank you, Kirsty!
I passed on it the first time it came out, gonna do the same thing this time around! I have to say though, your makeup looks really lovely 🙂
Thanks, Margot!
Whats on your lips Christine? Love!

This is in my to-buy list already. But metallic sheen? I really don’t like that.I will have to try it in case it is something very metallic like bobbi brown’s shimmer bricks.Btw,it is funny how I find MSFs long lasting on my oily skin.or maybe I am so overwhelmed with oily skin issues that a 6 hour wear time sounds perfect for me:D I am generally happy with the lasting power of mac’s blushes or other cheek stuff though.
MAC’s regular blushes are better on me, but the mineralize line doesn’t last very well on me, unfortunately! Glad you have better luck.
I don’t really know what to think about the swatches. “Blonde” looks really nice in the packaging, but I don’t think its really worth the money. Can’t wait for the review on the other MSF from that collection though!
By the way, you look stunning in that picture! The lipstick suits you really well. 🙂
Thanks, Louise!
Did u get this now or is it from the BRB collection?cause those msf’s were frosty as hell at least the brunette, redhead ones
I just bought this!
This would be a really pretty blush for people with light skintone, for me this would be more like a highlight. Very lovely colour though, too bad it accentuates imperfections, I don’t think I will buy it because my cheeks have the most imperfections and I don’t want to accentuate that.
Same here!
The lipstick in this pic is beautiful! is it new?
Yes, it is from the Naturally collection.
I know this is the review for the Blonde MSF but I wanted to ask if you think the Redhead MSF looks good on fair skin. Should I buy this one instead?
Either one would look good on fair skin, since they are both light.
I was really thinking about skipping the MSFs but after seeing this one ON Christine, I think it will be beautiful on me (I’m SUPER fair with pink undertones), so I just might pick it up. Thank GOD for xmas MAC giftcards!
I also LOVE the lipstick with this look. Super pretty look for spring!
I’m glad you like it on – I don’t like it so much, since it just accentuates the skin texture in a bad way!
I do have this and yes, I agree, it accentuates to the skin’s imperfections which is a big no no. 🙁
would you say if you have porcelain pink u could skip blonde?
Sure, you could skip it, but they aren’t dupes at all. Porcelain Pink is much warmer, less pink.
THAT LIPSTICK!
Looks so good on you! 🙂
Thanks, Kathryn!
Pretty! Christine, are the lip and eye colors from this collection as well?
Yes!
Thanks for the review Christine! Its a shame that Mac has been launching 15 to 20 collections a year with good products instead of taking some time and launching 5 to 8 collections with great must-have itens; moreover because of the price its been charged. Anyaways, thanks again 😀
No prob, Carla!
I have this MSF from its previous release, and I adore it! It’s one of my go-to blushes for a sheer, luminous spring cheek or a light highlight over a more subdued shade. Sometimes I’ll use my finger to swipe a little of the lightest shade onto my browbone. I would buy a backup except that after a year or two (when did Blonde/Brunette/Redhead come out again? :P) the product barely looks used!
Do you think this would be too light as a blush on NC20 skin? Would Dame or Well Dressed work better on me?
Well-Dressed would be better!
How does this compare to Benefit Hervana?
How do these compare with Dior Rose/Amber diamond?? Texture/finish/colour wise?
Thanx for the great review
Much love
Claire
Xoxo
These are much more metallic, heavier, more pigmented, don’t wear well.
Hey Christine! I was wondering, can you use this MSF on your eyes or is it only for your face? Thank you! 🙂
I don’t know what the safety would be for eyes, sorry!
I love this website soo much, it really helps me!
I wanted to know if you would recommend blonde or redhead, I have a light skin tone, I’m blonde, bluish green eyes(:
Thank you sooo much!
i think u just saved me 60 bucks. i’ve been waiting for these 2 msf for a couple of months. but i m not that interested now, cos they are for light skinned people. i m nc42, beige/olive undertones, it’ll just give me shimmer and i have plenty of highlighters to do that. thanks! i will check it out nevertheless. thanks
No prob, MS! 🙂
Ooo I’m excited this is coming back! I passed it up at my CCO and regretted it… while it won’t be the CCO price, at least I’ll have it lol
Just got mine today at PRO 🙂
By the way Christine, what lipstick are you wearing? Sweet sunrise?
It’s listed right below the photo!
How does Blonde compare to Dior Rose Diamond?
More pigmented, more metallic
I’m not sure how I feel about these! Christine could you recommend a good highlighter from another company? Have you tried the Too Faced Absolutely Invisible Candlelight Powder? Thanks for the review!
is this similar to porclain pink in semi precious collection ?!
Finally this collection is available in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia! I got both Blonde and Redhead MSFs today!
