Lethal Cosmetics Dreamsign Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Dreamsign
Lethal Cosmetics Dreamsign Pressed Powder Palette ($47.00 for 0.68 oz.) includes three shimmer eyeshadows and six matte eyeshadows, which can be found in a pre-made palette, but each shade can be purchased individually if desired. The mattes were more consistent than the shimmers, which I felt were a little drier or more prone to fallout. The matte shades in the palette seemed slightly more powdery, so some shades were more buildable in coverage.

Vertigo
Vertigo is a light yellow with moderate, warm undertones and a sparkling, frosted finish. It had mostly opaque color payoff that was buildable to full coverage. The texture was moderately dense but seemed a little drier, so there was some excess product that came off the pan, which resulted in light fallout during application. I also found that this shade was better applied with a fingertip to get the texture to appear smoother. There was light fallout after eight hours of wear.

Formula Overview
$6.00/0.06 oz. - $100.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "extreme pigmentation" and "effortless blendability" ... "that [will] last all day." There are two primary finishes: mattes and metallics, and the latter can also be used wet.
The matte finish has semi-opaque to opaque color coverage with moderate powderiness; it's a formula that is best used with a lighter hand. There was light fallout with some shades, though not at all, and they were blendable for the most part. Even with a light hand, there was still a bit of powderiness present--the brand did warn about using less with their formula--in the pan.
There were a few darker shades that had a tendency to sheer out when applied or did not apply as evenly, especially when layered over a lighter shade but most of the mid-tone and lighter shades were easy to apply and blend out. As a result, I found myself having better results by going dark to light rather than light to dark (which is more in line with how I typically work).
The metallic finish ranged from creamier, denser, and a bit thicker to softer, dense but still a little powdery (usually the lighter, more white-based shades). They were mostly opaque to fully opaque in a single layer, so they didn't need to be applied with a wet brush to achieve coverage or adhesion. I found that some of the more powdery, shimmery shades were more flattering on the lid when used with a fingertip or a dampened brush, though.
The matte eyeshadows tended to wear around eight hours on me before fading, while the shimmer shades lasted eight to eight and a half hours on me.

Lucid
Lucid is a brighter, medium bluish-teal with gold sparkle combined with a metallic finish. It was intensely pigmented with a moderately dense consistency that was slightly thicker, so it worked best with a denser, firmer brush and more of pushing motion to pick up product. There was light fallout during application, and the eyeshadow applied best by patting it on and then diffusing the edges. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours but had faint fallout over time.

Stargaze
Stargaze is a blackened blue base with flecks of larger blue and almost violet sparkle. It had a denser, drier consistency that was more firmly-pressed, which made it difficult to pick up with a dry brush. I’d recommend using a dampened brush to pick up product, which did a better job of applying the color evenly and smoothing out the overall texture than a fingertip. There was light fallout over an eight-hour period of time.

Insomnia
Insomnia is a faded, denim blue with strong, cool undertones and a matte finish. It had medium, buildable pigmentation but was best applied over an eyeshadow primer for better adhesion and intensity. The texture was soft and finely-milled to the touch, but it was fairly powdery, which likely was part of why it wasn’t the easiest to use or most pigmented eyeshadow. It wore decently for seven and a half hours before fading visibly.

Well it is colorful if nothing else! It’s okay enough, but not $49 worthy. I do love the more unusual shades in it, though.
A very colourful palette, but a bit on the average side. Stargazer is a gorgeous shade, but the shimmers were not that great. I’m not quite seeing how the colour story works together here with so few shimmers. I think the grey shade seems out of place.
Thank you for the review Christine.
I’m pretty confused by this too. Maybe the gray is too darken/deepen other shades. maybe, who knows? I’d take gray over black any day..
