Clionadh Duochrome Eyeshadows Reviews & Swatches (Part 2 of 3)
Morgana
Clionadh Morgana Duochrome Eyeshadow ($5.25 for 0.06 oz.) is a muted, light-medium green with more neutral-to-warm undertones with warmer, gold-to-olive green shifting pearl and faint bluish-teal micro-sparkle. The eyeshadow had opaque color coverage in a single pass, which adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out well along the edges. The texture was smooth, moderately dense, and didn’t feel quite as creamy compared to other shades, though I didn’t have any issues working with it using a dry brush either. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours and have slight fallout from the sparkles.

There do not appear to be any specific claims made for the brand's regular eyeshadow range, so being held to typical industry claims (as well as looking at the brand swatches), I'd expect rich pigmentation along with being blendable. The brand has an assortment of finishes, and the price point varies from finish to finish and has some variance within finish as well, but they tend to range from $6.00 CAD to $8.00 CAD, which converts to around $5.00 to $7.00 USD.
The more shimmery formulas were similar; they tended to be dense, lightly creamy, and blendable with excellent pigmentation and minimal chance of fallout. Some of the more sparkly shades felt more loosely-pressed while a few metallics were more emollient to the touch. They typically wore between eight and eight and a half hours on me before fading visibly (without primer).

Clionadh Wormwood Duochrome Eyeshadow ($5.25 for 0.06 oz.) is a deeper, warmer plum base with blue-to-purple shifting shimmer that gave it a metallic finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, lightly creamy consistency that was moderately dense but not thick or too firmly-pressed, so it was easy to use with dry brushes. This shade wore nicely for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

I’m just going to sigh heavily. I’m still waiting for my previous Clionadh pre-order to arrive. These are gorgeous but how bad is the backup for ordering/delivery now?
I’ve fallen for Morgana, Nocturnal and Clairvoyance! These are all stunning, but those are my 3 favorite shades. Numero uno is Morgana, though.
Oh, the looks! It seems that indie brands have more indie dupes than major brand dupes. Of course, that makes sense.
Now these are shimmers! I love the variety of blue shade – I think they all complement each other very well. I love the variety of eye looks you have come up with too Christine. These are great value single eyeshadows.
Morgana, Wormwood and Nocturnal are on my list for my next purchase. I got mostly greens, purples and some neutrals with my last order and then the shades for my daughter. I want to get some of the brighter shades just to try. Not ideal for a 66 year old who will likely be 67 by the time I get them but again, I will wear them regardless of how they look on my old eyes.
On a separate note, following the trend of the jinxed 2020, can you believe that Merriam Webster added “irregardless” to their dictionary? That is just wrong. What could it possibly mean, given that regardless says it all!!
Ack. “Irregardless”?? I agree, this is just flat-out wrong. All those grammar and spelling rules we studied to death are just flying out the window. And don’t get me started on “text type” with letters and numbers! Heh-heh, I’ll get out my old rocking chair now. All you kids get off the lawn!
These are gorgeous. Not a single one I don’t love! (If I ever win the lottery…I will buy a house with more storage in my vanity!)
Your eyes look like beautiful mermaids in these colors. I like them all, but am really drawn to the “blurple” shade Calx. I don’t have anything quite like that in my collection and I really like the dimension that it has.
Thank you, Lauren! Calx is very unique.
These two are LOVEEEEELLLLLLYY! Hope one day to find their products available in EU with shipping.
Oops, referring to Nocturnal and Calx (yes, definitely unique!)
