Kaleidos Lunar Lavender Futurism Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Lunar Lavender
Kaleidos Lunar Lavender Futurism Eyeshadow Palette ($24.00 for 0.25 oz.) included six eyeshadows with four matte shades and two shimmer shades with a mix of lavender and neutral mattes and pops of lavender shimmer. The mattes were smooth and velvety without losing their pigmentation, while the shimmers were sheerer and more sparkly–better as “toppers” or washes of shimmer.

Formula Overview
-
The eyeshadow formula is supposed to have a "rich, velvety texture" that is "soft and creamy yet highly adhesive" so that there is "no creasing." It is touted as being "ultra-pigmented" with "minimal fallout" that "blends effortlessly."
Kaleidos' matte eyeshadows are their standout; they are velvety, smooth, and blendable with high coverage and are incredibly easy to use--they absolutely live up to "minimal fallout" and have that "soft and creamy yet highly adhesive" aspect going on.
The shimmer shades were smooth, pigmented, and denser without being overly thick or too heavy, so they picked up well with dry brushes and applied evenly to bare skin, they just didn't have quite the level of wow-factor for me compared to their matte formula. There was also more variance in the shimmer shades so not every shade was fantastic, whereas the matte shades performed more consistently in comparison.
This eyeshadow formula lived up to its rave reviews within the indie community, though. On me, they typically lasted around eight hours before fading visibly with some of the deeper mattes staying on a little longer.

Very pretty shades! Loved it when I watched Allura’s reviews of this and all the other Kaleidos palettes, but I definitely believe that I am up to my eyeballs in purple palettes (probably all palettes? But that would make me feel sad!). Her swatches of the shimmery shades looked vastly more pigmented and the deeper purple was a blue/purple duochrome.
I have the palette and love it, but I know what you mean about owning so many purples.
Personally, I think you can never have too many purples!
The shimmers are so much more pigmented in practice, but I’m sure it varies with how one applies them. I use a glitter glue with Kaleidos shimmers and apply with my finger and they’re always very pigmented and sparkly and lovely.
This palette looks gorgeous for the purple shade lovers – although the sparkly, glittery one was a disappointment. I like how the shades are graduated in colour. I’m not sure what the dark brown matte is doing in there – I would have thought a soft grey would be better. Anyway, a very nice palette.
I have this palette, and the sparkly toppers are much more pigmented in practice, but I do use a glitter primer and my finger to apply. They are extremely pretty. 🙂
I like the two “boring” shades the best in this one – both would be very nice ‘neutrals’ for me.
This is my favorite 6-pan from Kaleidos… I really wish they would come out with more!
I love Midnight Flora!
Also, Christine, I’d like you to know that I’ve been reading Temptalia for, like, 12+ years now and I finally made an account. This will for sure be better than me screen grabbing things I like and trying to find them later!
YAYYY! Congrats 🙂
Too pinkish for me, but looks fun.
