Fenty Beauty Quartz Candy, Suga Kiss, Tang Thang Slip Shine Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Quartz Candy
Fenty Beauty Quartz Candy Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.098 oz.) has a clear base with iridescent sparkle and a bit of finer pearl paired with a shiny, glossy finish. It was marketed as clear, so the lack of coverage/pigmentation was as anticipated. There was a sheer to semi-sheer level of sparkle, and it was more sparkly than most shades in the range–that means the particles were larger but not to the point where it felt gritty on. I could feel the added sparkle in the tube as I applied it, though.
It felt lightweight, emollient without being overly slippery, and applied evenly while smoothing out some of my lip lines. It stayed on well for two and a half hours before most of the shine had dissipated. The formula felt hydrating while worn.

Formula Overview
$22.00/0.098 oz. - $224.49 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "sheer" coverage that is "ultra comfortable" that "lock[s] in moisture." It's designed to be something you can apply without a mirror (which just really make it clear that it is a sheerer product), but it does say "buildable" with multiple layers. The consistency was moderately dense in the tube but melted subtly as I applied it to my lips, and it felt more emollient after a few seconds of wear. They felt lightweight without being tacky, and it had more of a light-medium level of slip, so it didn't seem to slide around a lot during wear. It definitely has a balmy feel on the lips but has some staying power (but less than say, an opaque, satin lipstick).
The coverage was semi-sheer and buildable to medium coverage if desired for most shades. The deeper shades were more visible on my lips as they offered more contrast to my natural lip color, whereas the lighter and more mid-tone shades had less noticeable differences once applied. Keep in mind that sheerer lip products are greatly influenced by one's natural lip color, so they can look quite different from person to person.
There were a few shades that were more prone to settling into fine lines, while other shades appeared shiny and smoothing. They were comfortable to wear as the formula felt hydrating over time, though wear time was three to four hours, depending on the shade.
It had a sweet, vanilla scent with a touch of fruitiness to me, and I felt like there was a subtle, sweet taste I could detect at times.

Suga Kiss
Fenty Beauty Suga Kiss Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.098 oz.) is a brighter, light-medium pink with subtle, cool undertones and iridescent pink and lavender pearl that gave it a luminous sheen. It had semi-sheer coverage that was buildable to medium coverage with a second layer.
The product could have applied more evenly, and it was one of the more unforgiving with respect to lip texture and imperfections so you’ll want to exfoliate prior to applying this shade. The texture was creamy, smooth, and melted slightly as I applied it, which gave it more of a balm-like feel but managed not to slide around while worn much. It wore well for three and a half hours and felt moisturizing over time.

Tang Thang
Fenty Beauty Tang Thang Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.098 oz.) is a brighter, medium-dark orange-red with moderate, warm undertones and fine gold and red pearl that gave it a shiny, luminous finish. The consistency was lightweight, thin, and balm-like but not clingy nor too slippery, so it was comfortable to apply and to wear but had some staying power.
It had semi-sheer to medium coverage in a single layer that built to true medium to semi-opaque coverage with a second or third layer. The color applied evenly and smoothed out some of my lip lines. It lasted well for four hours and felt hydrating while worn.

Pinks are so pretty on you, Christine! Of course so is everything 🙂 Suga Kiss might be my favorite from this line.
Do you know when these are being released? I thought it was yesterday but it just says “coming soon”?
They haven’t provided an updated date to me at this time.
I saw in a comment on Fenty’s Instagram that the release has been pushed to June 20th. After seeing these swatches, I think I just might lose interest by then ?
I totally agree!! I’ve already lost interest. ?
It’s been a loooooong time since a lip product has caught me eye, but I really like the look of Tang Thang. I think this may have to be my first lip purchase of the year!
Tang Thang is my favorite of the three. Very airy looking orange-red for summer! However…I’m still more into that YSL Orange Speaker a bit more.
YSL Orange Speaker looks gorgeous Nancy!
Suga Kiss was the one that I liked best from the earlier swatches. I’m a little sad about it’s drawbacks in the review, but I’ll still probably get it because I love that it’s pigmented enough to show and it’s also buildable, but I especially love the “iridescent pink and lavender pearl that gave it a luminous sheen”. Yummy 🙂
Christine, how do these compare to the Revlon Shine lipsticks?
These are a lot less slippery but probably not quite as shiny either!
