VR Rose Venus is a bright, medium-dark pink base with a strong, gold to orange shift that dominated. On the lid, when I looked at myself, it read mostly gold to orange-gold but was very slightly pinkish along the outer curvature at a given angle. Swatched on the arm, the shift was strong, dynamic, and seemed really stunning, but the effect was so much harder to see (even for someone looking at me, as I asked!) on the lid.
It had rich pigmentation that was the same regardless of dry or wet application. The texture was fairly smooth--seemed ever-so-slightly textured from the amount of shimmer in it--without any powderiness. It was slightly denser, so it worked best with moderately dense brushes. This shade wore well for nine and a half hours before showing signs of fading.
