Fenty Beauty Bubblerum & Vamps Who Brunch Slip Shine Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Bubblerum
Fenty Beauty Bubblerum Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.098 oz.) is a muted, coppery-brown with warm, reddish undertones and darker gold pearl throughout its shinier, glossier finish. It had semi-sheer coverage that could be built up to medium coverage with two layers.
The color applied evenly and didn’t emphasize my lip lines, which is always a nice discovery with more emollient formulas like this one. The consistency was lightweight, balmy but not overly slippery, and comfortable to apply and to wear. It lasted well for four hours and felt hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$22.00/0.098 oz. - $224.49 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "sheer" coverage that is "ultra comfortable" that "lock[s] in moisture." It's designed to be something you can apply without a mirror (which just really make it clear that it is a sheerer product), but it does say "buildable" with multiple layers. The consistency was moderately dense in the tube but melted subtly as I applied it to my lips, and it felt more emollient after a few seconds of wear. They felt lightweight without being tacky, and it had more of a light-medium level of slip, so it didn't seem to slide around a lot during wear. It definitely has a balmy feel on the lips but has some staying power (but less than say, an opaque, satin lipstick).
The coverage was semi-sheer and buildable to medium coverage if desired for most shades. The deeper shades were more visible on my lips as they offered more contrast to my natural lip color, whereas the lighter and more mid-tone shades had less noticeable differences once applied. Keep in mind that sheerer lip products are greatly influenced by one's natural lip color, so they can look quite different from person to person.
There were a few shades that were more prone to settling into fine lines, while other shades appeared shiny and smoothing. They were comfortable to wear as the formula felt hydrating over time, though wear time was three to four hours, depending on the shade.
It had a sweet, vanilla scent with a touch of fruitiness to me, and I felt like there was a subtle, sweet taste I could detect at times.

Vamps Who Brunch
Fenty Beauty Vamps Who Brunch Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.098 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark plum with subtle, cool undertones and iridescent micro-sparkle that shifted between blue and purple. It had sheer to semi-sheer color payoff in a single layer, which built up to medium coverage with a second layer.
For the type of color and shine, it applied fairly evenly and didn’t settle noticeably in my lip lines (from a normal viewing distance–there was a very small amount visible in the close-up photo). The texture felt smooth, lightly creamy, and like a lip balm-lipstick hybrid, so it had slip but didn’t slide around too readily during wear. It stayed on nicely for four hours and felt moisturizing over time.

Omg they look beautiful ??
Vamps Who Brunch (that would be me – I LOVE brunch; I miss brunch) looks so much nicer applied than I ever would have thought. I just may have to get this – my 2nd only Fenty purchase ever!
Vamps Who Brunch is going on my wishlist! It reminds me of an Urban Decay lipstick I had about a decade ago whose name I can’t remember now. It tasted like bug spray so I never wore it often, but I loved the color.
I want ’em both! Bubblerum for everyday, Vamps Who Brunch as a more fun type of shade. I’m taken by how smoothly and evenly these two apply to the lips, considering this sort of formula can be very tricky to get just right!
I want vamps who brunch! It’s so gorgeous on you!
I love good semi- shheer lippies and these are no exception. I loved Bubblerum even in the tube.
Without your application examples, I wouldn’t have considered Vamp as purples usually aren’t flattering to me. The swatches and application completely changed that for me. I love it!
I was starting to think that these might not live up to my hopes, but these two look really good!! I’m actually really glad the release got delayed now.
I like the Bubblerum shade, though for me I would want it to be more pigmented. Just love the shade though.
I’m curious about wearing purple lipstick but worry that it might be too strong with my pale coloring, so Vamps Who Brunch might be the solution!
I’m so happy Vamps Who Brunch got a good rating and is decently pigmented. It’s the only shade in this release I’m interested in. Most of the rest are too sheer and light for my tastes.
