Satin Coral

Essence Satin Coral Satin Touch Blush ($2.99 for 0.17 oz.) is a medium, coral-orange with warm undertones and a satin finish. The more I blended and buffed the color on my skin, the more luminous the finish appeared.

It’s supposed to be a “silky-soft, highly pigmented powder,” and it is only available in two shades presently–I really hope they add more shades to it, though! The powder was smooth, soft, and a little powdery in the pan, but it applied beautifully to the skin and never looked dusty or chalky. It was a denser powder, too, so I felt like it was not prone to sheering out and was blendable while still retaining its intensity and coverage. The product had rich pigmentation that went on evenly and lasted for seven and a half hours on me.

Satin Love

Essence Satin Love Satin Touch Blush ($2.99 for 0.17 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark rosy brown with warm, reddish undertones and a satin finish. It was intensely pigmented, but the very soft, silky texture made it easy to apply less or diffuse what was applied for sheerer coverage, as desired. The texture was smooth, denser but still had some powderiness to it in the pan, though I did not notice this when applied to my skin. The finish was particularly lovely, as it became more luminous as the powder was blended on my skin, and it can be hard to find true, satin finish blushes–especially at this price point! On my skin, the blush started to fade noticeably after seven and a half hours of wear.

Oh wow I sure hope they add more medium and darker shades to the collection! These two look beautiful and the consistency sounds like my kind of blush. Plus the price would make it hard to say no.

Sadly, I have a bit deeper dupe for Satin Love so I won’t be picking that up and Satin Coral is too light for me. I will however be keeping an eye on Essence to see if they release more shades soon.

Wow, I love Satin Coral. Gotta admit, Essence is a brand I can get behind. I think they produce some great products at affordable prices. I’m a sucker for peachy blushes with a sheen but no gold glitter.

I was just looking at these this afternoon at Shoppers, and came home and checked Temptalia and you had a review of them up!! 😛

I’m really liking these!! And for this price I could get both of them, and throw them into my travel kit!!!

I love how these performed; they look lovely in the skin!… but at the same time, I feel like the shades have been almost alarmingly similar! I need a good nude or a plummy shade, cause coral makes me look very corpse-chic, lol! ?

I have one of these blushes in the older packaging, but I can’t think of the shade name off the top of my head. Both of these look great. Essence really does put out some really good products, especially for the price.
