Dior Ultra Tender, Ultra Tough, Ultra Lust Ultra Rouge Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Ultra Tender (325)
Dior Ultra Tender (325) Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a soft, peachy-beige with warm undertones and a cream finish. It had a really smooth, creamy consistency that felt more balm-like going on but still delivered rich, opaque pigmentation in a single layer. The lipstick applied evenly and didn’t emphasize my lip lines, and while it felt a little balmy initially, it “set” to a more velvety texture that didn’t have noticeable slip but was still comfortable to wear. It was lightly hydrating while worn over four hours, but it did not wear anywhere near the 12-hours claimed, unfortunately.

Formula Overview
$37.00/0.11 oz. - $336.36 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "incredibly long-wearing" with "12 hour" wear paired with an "ultra-comfortable" feel and "high-pigmentation." First and foremost, no, it doesn't last 12 hours, and most shades don't come close--they last between four and six hours typically. There were a few, like deeper reds, that still had some product remaining after eight hours, but the lighter shades never made it through the meal. They have a very creamy consistency, balm-like, and within 30 to 45 seconds, they develop a slight cling, almost like a film, but it wasn't actually clingy or uncomfortable--I could just tell that there was a texture change as it "set." However, the "setting" of this formula just has that feeling, but the product would still transfer onto a glass or disappear during a meal.
Most of the shades were semi-opaque to opaque and applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without tugging or dragging. Some shades were more smoothing than others, but most shades looked flattering over my natural lip texture. The formula was lightweight, comfortable, and lightly to moderately hydrating over time. They had a heavy, powdery, floral scent that was noticeable for the first half hour of wear, though I didn't notice any taste.

Ultra Tough (600)
Dior Ultra Tough (600) Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a deep mauve with subtle, warm undertones and a cream finish. The color payoff was opaque and applied smoothly and evenly across my lips. It had a lightweight, creamy consistency that felt like an emollient balm initially but had a slight “setting” feel where it clung more to my lips but still remained movable and lightly shiny. It stayed on well for five hours and was hydrating while worn.

Ultra Lust (485)
Dior Ultra Lust (485) Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark pink with soft, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single stroke, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without dragging. The color didn’t emphasize my lip lines and felt lightweight on. The consistency felt a touch clingier within a minute of wear, almost like it was setting a bit, but it was still movable/flexible. I had higher hopes that that feeling would translate into longer wear, but it lasted for four and a half hours–not at all close to the 12-hour mark. It was moderately moisturizing while worn, though!

Ultra Tender (325) i lovely, i will have to try it at counter. With this pretty warm shade i am not concerned with wear time, hydration is more important.
Not related to this post but you look gorgeous with the new hair color!!!!
I’m really digging the warmer than typical greige-mauve of Ultra Tough! I do believe that it has just enough warmth to it that I can not only wear it, but look good in it, too.
Ultra Tough is a beautiful color, especially for fall!
I LOVE that kind of muted purple shade of Ultra Tough. Such a shame that they had to advertise a crazy wear time since these seem great for what they are. I think I’ll need to find an inexpensive dupe of Ultra Tough now…
If they didn’t make the claim, they would be doing well for sure!
Such a shame these are scented.
I know 🙁 I’m just glad they don’t taste!
Yes… so unnecessary.. I still want Ultra Tough… 🙂 Maybe some day this fall.
Not exactly a great rating for such expensive lipsticks, in shades that are quite popular.
Ultra Tough is a gorgeous shade I may need it! So glad you’re reviewing Dior! I’d love to see you review their lacquer plump lipsticks and lacquer sticks. They’re my faves. Also there’s a ton of new lip glows coming out in the fall!
Ooooo 325 is a winner!
