Jouer Rose Gold Blush Bouquet Review & Swatches
Rose Gold
Jouer Rose Gold Blush Bouquet ($30.00 for 0.39 oz.) is a new, limited edition duo that features a mid-tone, shimmery coral and a light-medium, satiny pink. Both shades had good pigmentation and applied well to bare skin, though Marigold was slightly better all-around.

Marigold
Marigold is a medium-dark coral with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. It was richly pigmented and had a soft, smooth consistency that wasn’t powdery nor was it too firmly-pressed in the pan. The powder applied evenly to bare skin and diffused easily along the edges for a seamless look. The finish was luminous–glowing but not shimmery–and was flattering on my skin as it did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me before it started to fade a touch.

Formula Overview
-
The formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented" and "easy" to blend that "stays vibrant from morning till night." I found the powders to have a smooth, velvety texture that was a little thin, so they weren't dusty, and they were fairly blendable on bare skin and over foundation. They tended to have semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation over intense coverage in a single layer. They wore between eight and nine hours on me before fading.

Rose Petal
Rose Petal is a light-medium pink with soft, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had excellent color coverage in a single layer, which was easy to apply to bare skin for an even, blended application. The texture was slightly powdery in the pan, though it felt finely-milled and velvety to the touch, and it did not appear dry or powdery when applied to my cheeks. It stayed on well for eight hours on me before fading slightly.

This sums up the problem I often have with any thing but a single blush – the pinker side is lovely but the warmer, more coral shade on the left isn’t a great shade for me. How I’d love a duo with a pink like this one paired with a crushed berry sort of shade (of course, bearing in mind the fact that I don’t need or even want another blush for 5 years or more!)
Mariella, what you just described sounds AMAZING!!! I LOVE berry blush!! I’m drooling at the thought of a duo like that!
Yes please!
Enjoy! 🙂
Lovely duo! I saw this in Tarababyz video last night, and now between your review and her initial impressions, I love this Rose Gold duo. Worry just a little bit about Rose Petal on me….but I use other blushes that are this light during wintertime? I just don’t know.
I think it would work for your skin tone Nancy but maybe try in store if you can!
It’s beautiful! I ordered mine from Beautylish the day it was released. I think the pigment is great. It blends really well and I think would be flattering on a lot of skin tones.
So glad this had your stamp of approval! I’ve been wanting to try a Jouer Blush Duo but the current ones didn’t speak to me. Then I saw the pictures of this one it’s definitely the one I want! I’ll be picking it up as soon as it comes to Sephora!
This looks really lovely – so beautiful and the lipgloss is a darling.
I’m glad that I can find Jouer now at Sephora Canada. I have the blush duo in Adore and I adore it 🙂
I am very tempted for this duo. This looks beautiful.
