Dior Atelier Dore (469) Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Atelier Dore (469)
Dior Atelier Dore (469) 5 Couleurs Couture Eyeshadow Palette ($65.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a new, limited edition neutral palette for the holiday season. It features three more pearly eyeshadows, one more metallic eyeshadow in the center, and one deeper matte. The quad had some contrast, given the matte was quite dark, and I felt like the undertones flowed together without being too much the same. The quality was good across the board with pigmented, long-wearing, and blendable eyeshadows.

Atelier Dore #1
Atelier Dore #1 is a light, golden brown with muted, warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had opaque pigmentation with a smooth, slightly denser texture that was firm without being stiff to work with, so there was no powderiness but a moderate hand was best for getting an even layer of product onto a brush. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly.

Formula Overview
-
The formula is supposed to have a "creamy and comfortable texture" that is long-wearing and has "intense color" (or "high-pigment"). There are five finishes that can be found within various palettes: matte, satin, shimmer, metallic, highlighter, and glitter, though there aren't specific descriptions by finish, unfortunately.
There were a few shades that seemed more sparkly and were sheerer, more like layering shades, while the other finishes tended to be pigmented. In general, the texture was moderately dense with the matte shades being slightly thinner and a smidgen powdery in the pan compared to the satin, shimmer, and metallic shades.
Aside from those more sparkly shades, the formula was blendable, pigmented, easy to work with, and lasted an average of eight hours on me (without a primer).

Atelier Dore #2
Atelier Dore #2 is a medium gold with warmer undertones and a pearly sheen. It had mostly opaque, buildable color coverage that adhered evenly to bare skin and blended well, though it lost some sheen as I blended it out. The texture was soft, smooth, and blendable without being powdery, though it was slightly thin. It stayed on nicely for seven and a half hours before fading a bit.

LELimited Edition.
Atelier Dore #3
Atelier Dore #3 is a bright, light-medium yellowy gold with moderate, warm undertones paired with a sparkling, metallic sheen. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation where the sparkles really helped to fill in the “coverage” as it didn’t look so sheer once applied and blended out on my eye. The texture was lightly emollient, which helped to minimize fallout during application as well as during wear, though there was slight fallout over an eight-hour wear period.

Yet one more instance of me wanting to not want a specific item! Too pretty to ruin. And too pricey not to! It will take a lot to talk me down off that ledge, I’m afraid.
Oh my goodness, I really love this one – all of my shades except for the matte one (at least it’s not black!)
So, so beautiful. I bet Mariella loves this one too!
Interesting. This palette didn’t do as well at the House Of Dreams cooler palette, A- on all shades. Whilst this one has two B- shades.
I am glad I bought the House Of Dreams now, but after the Holidays and Dore goes on sale, I might think about buying it?
I literally (half an hour ago) looked at both this and House of Dreams and to my surprise I liked this one much more. I think itโs the silver in the other palette that put me off bot I had to fight with myself not to buy this one. I very nearly went back for it but managed to convince myself that it really would be foolish. But it IS gorgeous and so eminently wearable.
