Pat McGrath Gilty Pleasure is a very warm-toned, light-medium taupe with a sparkle finish. It is an eyeshadow that is permanent in this palette: Bronze Seduction.

Editor's Review

Gilty Pleasure is a medium, golden taupe with warm undertones and a sparklig, metallic sheen. It had good pigmentation in a single layer with a soft, more loosely pressed consistency. Per the brand, this shade is advised to "press on with finger to build opacity," which would be an accurate representation of this shade--it was buildable and opaque coverage was achievable when the eyeshadow was pressed onto the lid with a fingertip. I found success using a dampened brush, too, to get quick-and-easy opaque pigmentation without fallout, though a dry brush worked well enough that I didn't feel like I had to use it damp to get good results. It lasted nicely for eight and a half hours with a smidgen of fallout.

The creamy, soft shadows ignite metallic, pearlized pigments and amplify color. Experience an emollient-like texture and sensorial feel that glides on with one-stroke, fully-pigmented, opaque color saturation and a polished, bright, multidimensional finish.

I am a huge Pat McGrath fan. I have three of her mothership palettes and this shade is the only one that I literally despise. It does not work .. it feels like I'm rubbing on a piece of sandpaper and then when I look at my finger there's just a little shimmer and some grey - what doesn't look like eyeshadow on my finger .. and it doesn't go on any better .. so to the person above my review .. maybe it's only our newer palettes ?,doubt it though. Sigh. Such a good color too if it WORKED!? I love taupey golds .

I don't know whether it was just my palette or what, but this shade did not work for me. I tried it with and without primer, with finger, with dry brush, with wet brush, with wet finger, with silicone applicator and none of that worked to build up the product or even get an appreciable amount on the applicator tool. I wondered if it was dry pan and tried all the tricks to fix that and nothing happened. So disappointed with this as I am obsessed with the mothership palettes and love every other shade in this and other palettes.
