ColourPop x Sailor Ultra Blotted Liquid Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Usagi
ColourPop Usagi Ultra Blotted Liquid Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.10 fl. oz.) is a brighter, medium-dark pink with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had medium color payoff that applied fairly evenly across my lips despite it having a thin, more watery consistency initially. The product dried down to a slightly powdery, matte finish that was transfer-resistant. There was a bit of product that separated along my deeper lip lines. It stayed on well for five hours and was non-drying while worn.

Formula Overview
$6.00/0.1 oz. - $60.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "medium coverage" and yield a "soft, diffused just-blotted look" that "dries matte, doesn't bodge, and feels soft and comfy on the lips." From the shades I've tried, the effect is exactly as described -- "a soft, diffused just-blotted look" with a matte finish. The consistency is thin but almost a little velvety as it spreads and dries down; it didn't feel as "wet" as most of their Liquid Lipstick formulas have. The formula dries down quickly and sets to a matte, transfer-resistant finish. The coverage varied from medium to semi-opaque, and the wear time was anywhere between four and six hours. The issue I have with them is the thinner, matte formula is more prone to emphasizing imperfections on my lips and lip lines. The formula is neither drying nor hydrating on me.

Bun Head
ColourPop Bun Head Ultra Blotted Liquid Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.10 fl. oz.) is a medium-dark pink with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had medium coverage in a single layer, which could be built up to semi-opaque coverage with a second layer if desired. The texture was lightweight, thin, and spreadable with minimal emphasis of my lip lines and natural lip texture, but you’ll want to exfoliate prior to wearing if you’re prone to flakiness. It wore well for four and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating.

Never imagined I’d love one of the Ultra Blotted Lips, but I really do love Usagi a lot! It just screams springtime to me.
The other shade doesn’t do anything for me. It looks too dry and prone to looking flaky on me.
I am with you as I like Usagi the best. I am not sure about the formula though. I do have Nars Anna so probably won’t pick these up.
Hmm, which one to get? I don’t typically wear bright lip colours, but I can’t deny that these are pretty.
Usagi looks awesome ! Love how they used her Japanese name for the lipstick .
I love Colourpop’s ultra blotted lip formula so I’m glad they used it for the Sailor Moon collection.
