ColourPop Viva Lips Ultra Glossy Lip Lip Bundle Review & Swatches
Viva Lips
ColourPop Viva Lips Lip Bundle ($15.00 for 0.33 fl. oz.) includes three, full-sized glosses; two without shimmer and one with shimmer. I struggled with B, which didn’t apply evenly, while Ale and Steph were more in line with past experiences with the formula: smoothing, comfortable, and easy to work with.
Viva Lips
LELimited Edition. $15.00.
Ale
Ale is a medium-dark, reddish-brown with warm undertones and a cream finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which went on fairly evenly and smoothly across my lips. The texture was lightweight, non-sticky, and spreadable without getting into my lip lines noticeably. This shade stayed on nicely for three hours and was hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$10.00/0.11 oz. - $90.91 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "hi-shine" with a "non-sticky" texture that "feels amazing" and includes five finishes "from 3-D pearl to sheer tinted colour." They are designed to be a sheerer formula, so many shades are sheer with a smattering of shimmer or sparkle and then a few are more tinted with sheer to semi-sheer coverage but no shimmer. Each gloss has a short, brush-type applicator, which worked better than I expected and didn't leave streaky results behind (in general). They had a sweet, vanilla scent but no discernible taste.
The "Tinted" finish ("glass-like shine with tint of sheer colour and no shimmer") was the least consistent--sometimes prone to unevenness and getting into lip lines, particularly with deeper/richer shades, whereas Pearlescent ("glass-like shine with subtle shimmer") and Prismatic ("glass-like shine with floating multi dimensional pearl and glitters") are sheer to translucent with the major difference being finer shimmer in the Pearlescent finish and larger, more glitter-like particles in the Prismatic finish. Both finishes tended to look plush and more smoothing on my lips. The Creme finish is a "medium-coverage gloss with a creamy finish that does not contain any pearls or glitter." The Metallic is described as a "full-coverage gloss with a mix of pearl and metallic finishes."
The wear time varied by shade but the sheerer ones tended to wear between two and three hours as the formula was, indeed, non-sticky and smooth, which made them lighter-weight and comfortable to wear but shorter wearing. A lot of the sheerer shades ran together, so I would recommend just picking up one or two rather than several as the differences are likely to be lost! Also, keep in mind that sheerer lip colors can look different from person to person due to much of the natural lip color coming through.

Ale
LELimited Edition. $10.00.
B
B is a medium-dark peach with warm undertones and a cream finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied unevenly and settled into my lip lines, so it wasn’t the most flattering product to wear on its own–it’s not the worst I’ve seen in this color family, but I was surprised at how much it settled into my lip lines as most of the glosses in the formula are very smoothing. It lasted well for three hours and was lightly moisturizing while worn.

B
LELimited Edition. $10.00.
Steph
Steph had a clear base with flecks of fine silver and beige shimmer and larger, darker sparkle. It had semi-sheer “coverage” in the form of shimmer, while the base made my natural lip color appear darker and richer (without really altering the tone of it). The texture was smooth, almost gel-like, and easy to spread across my lips. It wore well for two and a half hours and was lightly hydrating over time.

Because I really love Ale so much and its respective dupes are all far more than $15, I am getting the set.
I also love Steph, but do have MAC Brooklyn Born. Very close in color!
“B” would get given to someone I know who has nearly colorless, smoother lips than mine.
Yea, kind of wish these were being offered separately. I love Ale but wouldn’t use the other two. May pick it up and gift the others. I am getting ready to place a small ColourPop order. I haven’t tried any of the Eye Gelly things, whatever they are called, and I am curious about the formula.
Ale is beautiful. Too bad it’s not sold as a single! Still, it’s not a bad set, even if B would have to used over a pencil or lipstick.
For some reason it amuses me that B gets a C.
I wish they would ditch those brush applicators. I do like Ale quite a bit, but would probably not wear the other two so I’ll pass since this is only sold as a set (at least for now – it is ColourPop so who knows they may split them up and sell individually in the future).
