ColourPop Plush Like Me Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Plush Like Me
ColourPop Plush Like Me 12-Pan Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ($18.00 for 0.36 oz.) is new for fall with a orange/red themed color story that included eight matte shades and four shimmer shades. All 12 shades performed well–they were pigmented, blendable, long-wearing, and easy to work with. The biggest “con” was that some of the mattes were on the powdery side, which is consistent with the brand’s matte formula generally, but there wasn’t really much fallout to contend with.

Runway
Runway is a light-medium beige with soft, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color payoff, but the consistency was moderately powdery, which resulted in some sheerness during application. It lasted well for seven and a half hours before fading a bit.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Ironic
Ironicis a light, taupe-brown with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was somewhat powdery in the pan, so I’d recommend using a lighter hand and/or tapping off excess to avoid fallout during application. It had opaque color coverage that stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.

Video Nite
Video Nite is a light, peachy copper with warmer undertones and a high-shine, metallic finish. The eyeshadow had a more loosely-pressed feel, but it had good slip, so it adhered well to bare skin with opaque coverage that remained blendable along the edges without being prone to fallout. This shade lasted nicely for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing." The way the Pressed Pigments differ is that they're not intended for usage on the immediate eye area.
The majority of the shades are semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blend out fairly well, and can sometimes be a bit drier/more powdery compared to typical matte shades. They often wear eight to nine hours on me before fading, but many shades in the Pressed Pigment family leave some staining behind.

I actually don’t think I have many of these shades in my collection currently! I don’t have many red toned eyeshadows and these look fantastic. dang. maybe I’ll pick this guy up!
I was shocked to find I do not have dupes for quite a few shades in this palette.
Very cute palette with nostalgic shade names! However, the one I’m considering is the Ulta exclusive (for now, anyway) Sonic Bloom. That one has a gorgeous green, and practically dupes MAC’s autumn palette!
An orange/red theme from CP – how surprising is that? I think this brand has put out more orange, pink and red shades than any other brand in the past few years.
It is a pretty palette and I liked the shades Video Nite and TLC the best, A lovely eye look Christine too.
Pink, orange, red; pink, orange, red. I know there are a lot of people for whom this palette presents wonderful, useful possibilities but I (and Genevieve) aren’t among them. Video Night and TLC are the only 2 shades I could see myself using.
Velvet One is the only shade in the palette I want, I’m not going to buy a palette for only one shade. I’m going to take a good look at the dupe list, and if I can’t find an available dupe, I’ll just look at the next post and forget about the beautiful richness of this lovely shade.
Very cohesive looking, but so many palettes are looking the same.
