ColourPop Fruit Stand Super Shock Cheek

ColourPop Fruit Stand Super Shock Cheek ($8.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “neon red orange in a matte finish.” It’s a brightened, medium-dark coral-red with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had mostly opaque color coverage applied with fingertips, in line with the formula’s description, while brush application gave you better control and sheerer coverage so it could be built up or sheered out, depending on your needs. The texture was smooth but slightly drier, but it blends out fairly easily on the skin. On my normal-to-dry skin, it lasted for nine hours. ColourPop Ex (LE, $5.00) is lighter. MAC Secret Admirer (LE, $22.00) is pinker. ColourPop Erotic (P, $5.00) is more shimmery, darker. Surratt Beauty Ponceau (P, $32.00) is more shimmery, pinker. MAC Hi Jinks! (LE, $22.00) is lighter. NARS Siam (P, $39.00) is darker, brighter. theBalm Pie (P) is glossier. theBalm Cobbler (P) is darker. Chanel Intonation (69) (LE, $38.00) is warmer. ColourPop Fox Super Shock Cheek ($8.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “mid-tone warm coral in a satin finish.” It’s a muted, medium pink with warm undertones and fine silver shimmer. It had semi-sheer to semi-opaque coverage, but it was one of the sheerer blushes in the range, and it took three to four layers to get opaque coverage out of it (even with fingertip application!). The finish looks more sparkly in the pan or heavily swatched, but once blended on the skin, it translated to more of a soft sheen. It lasted for seven and a half hours on me. Charlotte Tilbury Las Salinas (P, $45.00) is pinker. ColourPop Fruit Stand (P, $8.00) is darker, less shimmery. NARS Panic (Right) (P) is more shimmery, powder. Chanel Malice (71) (P, $45.00) is warmer, powder. MAC Red Obsessed (LE, $22.00) is sheerer, lighter. MAC Secret Admirer (LE, $22.00) is less shimmery. Gucci Beauty Coral Flower (P, $49.00) is less shimmery, powder. IT Cosmetics Pretty in Peony (P, $24.00) is darker, powder. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

ColourPop Tonic Super Shock Cheek ($8.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “bright neon orange in a matte finish.” It’s a bold, brightened medium-dark orange with warm, red undertones. There’s almost a hint of a golden sheen, but it doesn’t translate as visible shimmer on the skin; it’s like a natural matte, where the skin doesn’t lose luminosity but doesn’t look shimmery either. It was intensely pigmented, and a little goes a very long way when working with this product, so I preferred using a duo-fiber stippling brush with this to get semi-sheer color coverage that was blendable and buildable based on the look. It wore well for nine and a half hours. Urban Decay Bang (P, $26.00) is a powder. ColourPop Squint (LE, $5.00) is similar. MAC Ocean City (LE, $32.00) is lighter, powder. YSL Orange Fougueux (04) (P, $40.00) is similar. NARS Exumas (P, $39.00) is lighter. Make Up For Ever #515 HD Blush (P, $26.00) is more orange. Make Up For Ever #420 HD Blush (P, $26.00) is more muted. NYX Cinnamon (P, $5.00) is a powder. NARS Exhibit A (P, $30.00) is redder, powder. MAC Optimistic Orange (LE, $21.00) is glossier. Benefit Cha Cha (P, $30.00) is sheerer. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

at first I think Fruit Stand and UD Afterglow Quiver are similar but when it swatch Quiver is look like it pure red more than orange red in Fruit Stand.and unfortunately,Fox is so sheer,I gonna order this tomorrow but now you just save my money!

As I have been looking for a really nice orangey-coral blush, I do believe that Tonic might be it! Although, I do really still like the swatches of Quarters or Get Leid only because when I do go too far into orange territory on my cheeks, I tend to look jaundiced or something! Odd, because orange looks great on my lips and even in an eye look, so Idk?

Nancy T Avatar

Thanks for that recommendation! In that case probably Quarters or Get Leid would look better. My Nyx cream blush in Orange makes me look like I have a liver disease, lol! And yet, I look great in Morange lipstick and also using the bright orange in the Nyx Shangri-la eyeshadow trio…..it’s so weird!

Fox is one of my faves! I do agree with your review though that it is sheer and needs building . It does take some effort. But I find it leaves a gorgeous sheen. I use my fingers to get the initial color on and then build up until I have what I want using a small stippling brush (Mac 159 or Its highlight duo fibre brush). I get a lot of compliments on it actually. I am so mad at myself for forgetting to add Tonic to my last order! So, I just put it in my cart. It’s so pretty. At first, Fruit stand scared me because it look- ed so bright. But I think I like it. Iove this orangy-coral shde. perfect for summer. I tend to reach for it all year actually. 😀

Sometimes sheerer blush isn’t a bad thing 🙂 My dream formula is really medium but buildable, so it’s not like the barest tap of the brush is like, “Whoa, whoa, whoa!” but there’s enough buildability that it can still work for darker skin tones.

I hear ya. I wish Fox was more medium in coverage. But, I love the shade and the luminosity it has. So, I don’t mind adding a couple of layers. If I am rushing, I will pass it up. If I am really wanting to use it, I will just use my fingers and skip the brush blending. I actually am preffering my It cosmetics duo fiber brush to blend over the Mac 159. It is more loosely packed and a natural hair brush works well too . But, I worry that the cream formula or whatever it may damage a natural hair brush. Do you think it would? I thend to be more rough with my sythetic brushes.

Fox is one of my favorites too. But I like the sheerness of it. I just want a kiss of color because most blushes scare me a bit. x)

Wow, all of these are gorgeous! Fruit Stand would look awesome on darker skintones. I have IT Pretty in Peony, so won’t need Fox. I might have to get Tonic. I have Benefit Cha Cha Tint but it doesn’t stick on my teflon cheeks.

Beautiful shades, especially Fruit Stand. As a pale lady, I actually quite like Fox. It would be great for a natural look on very light skin tones.

Fox was on my wish list, but with your review & swatches I’ll probably skip. It seems very similar to theBalm’s Toile, which I already own.
