ColourPop Fox Super Shock Cheek ($8.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a "mid-tone warm coral in a satin finish." It's a muted, medium pink with warm undertones and fine silver shimmer. It had semi-sheer to semi-opaque coverage, but it was one of the sheerer blushes in the range, and it took three to four layers to get opaque coverage out of it (even with fingertip application!). The finish looks more sparkly in the pan or heavily swatched, but once blended on the skin, it translated to more of a soft sheen. It lasted for seven and a half hours on me. Charlotte Tilbury Las Salinas (P, $45.00) is pinker. ColourPop Fruit Stand (P, $8.00) is darker, less shimmery. NARS Panic (Right) (P) is more shimmery, powder. Chanel Malice (71) (P, $45.00) is warmer, powder. MAC Red Obsessed (LE, $22.00) is sheerer, lighter. MAC Secret Admirer (LE, $22.00) is less shimmery. Gucci Beauty Coral Flower (P, $49.00) is less shimmery, powder. IT Cosmetics Pretty in Peony (P, $24.00) is darker, powder. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

Fingertips will provide the highest amount of coverage. Brush suggestions: Use a flat synthetic cheek/ foundation brush or a short duo fiber brush; flat synthetic brush will give more coverage and the duo fiber brush will give a more sheer, air brushed effect. WHEN FINISHED: Close that sucker up tight! Don’t leave the jar opened for long periods of time; you may lose some of the magic that makes the Super Shock Cheek so amazzzing. Colour builds from natural- looking flushed looks to more intense bright looks. … Build to your heart’s desire!.

This blush is quite sheer (unless one spends quite some time building it up), but I consider that an advantage rather than a downside: it's good for getting juuuuuust a little colour in my cheeks, without it being too obvious or too light-toned. I marked it as both natural-finish and luminous, because which you get depends on how much product you used; I find it works well for "breaking" a matte look and naturalizing it without the shine getting Obvious, even in harsh summer light. (My summer light is utterly unforgiving that way.) Similarly, it won't budge or fade almost no matter what, once applied. (So far the only things that made it come off are makeup remover, or my dog licking my face.) That's +12hr, easily. It's an adorable colour that'll look good on porcelain-to-medium, pink-to-neutral skin tones, but not so much on golden/olive. (Didn't get to test it on any skin darker than medium that isn't golden, but I suspect it won't work well.) I find that it's best applied with fingers.
