Mystic is a dark, muted plum with warm, red undertones and a satin finish. It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer applied evenly and smoothly across the lips with minimal effort. The consistency was mousse-like with a bit of extra slip, which I found made color gather into my deeper lip lines, though it wasn't noticeable from a normal viewing distance. The lipstick lasted for over six and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating.
