Chanel Tisse Jazz (244) Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Quad
Chanel Tisse Jazz (244) Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Quad ($61.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a blue-hued quad that runs on the more muted/subtler side, so it may be an option for “wearable” blues if the brighter blues aren’t your wheelhouse. I wish the first shade was more pigmented, but the four shades work well together. I think the blendability of the products was the high point, while pigmentation levels were the low point.
Tisse Jazz #1 is a soft, muted medium blue with a soft, frosted shimmer. It had semi-sheer pigmentation with a soft, silky texture, but it was dusty and prone to sheering out. It lasted for eight hours on me. Milani Bella Sky (08) (P, $4.49) is lighter (90% similar). MAC Dimensional Blue (LE, $20.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). Maybelline Seashore Frosts (LE, $6.99) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). Chanel Destination (LE, $32.00) is darker, cooler (90% similar). Maybelline Hydrangea Hype (135) (LE, $6.99) is lighter, brighter (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
Tisse Jazz #2 is a bright, silvery white with a metallic sheen. It had so-so color payoff with a very smooth, finely-milled texture. The color wore well for eight hours before fading. ColourPop Tassel (LE, $6.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). theBalm #34 (P, $6.50) is less shimmery (95% similar). Buxom Velvet Snow (LE, $12.00)(95% similar). This is really pretty. But, for the cost, I’d prefer a better rating. I don’t wear blues a lot. So, if I buy them, I like them spot on. This quad reminds me of one of the Mac x Quo Pei quads.
I agree – should be better at this price point!
I think “wearable” blues is a great way to describe this palette. I swatched this in store, and thought it was decent for a blue palette, but Tisse Smoky (the grays) swatched better, so I got that instead. I was also considering this vs. MAC Guo Pei Night Sky, but glad I went with MAC, as it scored an A-. It is $9 more expensive than this one, but the packaging is prettier, there’s more product ( .19 oz vs. .07), and the colors were more unique. But I’m really glad to see brands doing blue palettes, especially if they score well.
Night Sky was a good call! 🙂
Definitely wearable. I love #3!
It’s nice!
I wanted so badly for this to be an A!
Awww!
Funny, I have an Ulta quad that looks just like this but it’s pressed powder. These are super pretty though but my wallet is safe!
Phew!
I feel like I’ve seen sooooooo many shadows almost exactly like Jazz #3, but that might be because I’m really attracted to that color and notice it more.
I’m glad you have dupes though 😀
Not bad, but this is MAC Guo Pei Night Sky by any means! I would even go so far as to say that I like my old Nyx I Dream Of Antigua 5 pan palette more, but probably because that one and Guo Pei both have an intense warmer blue and a warmer “white” type shade, this runs too cool and that first shade looks so ’70’s!!!
*but this is NO MAC Guo Pei….
Sorry for my total eclipse of my BRAIN! It gets foggy up there ?
Seems like a no brainer between this and Night Sky, at the price point, lol!
The young woman at the Chanel counter in Dillards near me did a beautiful eye look using this palette. I almost brought it. Very similar to my new MAC Night Sky palette.
Oh, nice! Any tips on how she used it?
That third shade is really gorgeous! But all in all it’s not the quad for me. I don’t know what it is, but blues just never really attract me.
Ah, well, blues aren’t for everyone! 😀
I was prepared to totally love this quad as I am a big blues fan. The white and black shades are almost universal so it was the two blue shades that I really was most interested in. The first one, as you said Christine, was disappointing. It was a beautiful colour but lacked pigmentation. The third colour was stunning. Really beautiful. But I can’t just buy an expensive quad for one colour……
It had promise but ultimately, didn’t quite knock it out of the park!
It’s such a pity the first one, the light blue didn’t perform well. I have had my eyes on this, I don’t wear blue a lot, hardly ever even, but I did like the look of this quad, and I kind of like the promo photo. I guess I’ll wait for a better option, as I don’t want to buy such an expensive quad when the one colour I like the most isn’t up to the task, so to say.
Aww! 🙁
