We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Seriously underwhelmed. Ever since Lucia Pica became the creative director, all we ever get a multiple variations of red. I have not bought any Chanel makeup products since. Very frustrating.

I usually pick up the holiday quad and this one is beautiful but there is nothing unique here. I do love the pencil and the Pourpre Brun single shade. I prefer the Hourglass holiday lippies to these so will pass on the lippies. I will order the pencil and the single shadow though. I like the depth of the shadow and it looks like a nice wearable shade.

This was a frustrating purchase for me. I got the quad, the highlighter, and the rouge magestueux. The highlighter is stunning. It’s a dream. The lipstick pulls far more pink than I thought it would. I’m porcelain complected with cool undertones. The lipstick feels great on the lips and stays well (some minimal transfer), but is beautifully creamy. The eyeshadow… I used to love Chanel. Tisse Cambon, Codes Elegants, and and Tisse Vendom were my all time favorites. Then they went through the phase of every eyeshadow having red in it, and that’s a color I can’t pull of without looking as if I have pink eye. I don’t know if during that time the formula changed, or that other brands like Pat McGrath, Viseart, and Natasha Denona (esp recently) raised the bar on eye shadow formulas to where I now expect more. This reminds me of the Dior holiday eyeshadow releases – beautiful in the palette, but so muddy on the eye.

Sami, I didn’t want to say anything but since you spoke up… I got the quad and some LE nail polish. The orange polish is a spectacular shade.
The quad was an utter disappointment. It’s like you said – maybe the bar is higher and I now expect more? All I know is that I haven’t had a shadow crease that fast and that badly in a long time. I used PLouise primer and tried twice. Tomorrow, I will try over another primer. But there is only one dark shade and it doesn’t have the depth I’d want. It fades so quickly. I had to go in with another palette and at $65 for 0.7oz TOTAL, that’s unacceptable. As is the poor longevity and creasing.
I’m curious to see Christine’s experience but very close to returning it, sadly.
I might pick up the highlighter and the dark green eye pencil. But this time I’ll wait for the review. You’d think I’d’ve learned my lesson to wait for Christine’s review by now ?‍♀️

I realised about a month ago I almost don’t have any green eye shadows that don’t veer towards blue-turquoise and was looking for some nice ones… I really want that quad and was thinking about the eyeliner too but there’s a Sephora dupe for $10 and I may buy that one instead. I ca’t wait for the quad review! (crossing my fingers)
