It had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied fairly evenly, but it seemed like there was a tendency for the product to build up slightly on itself in places so it didn't look as smooth as it could have. The texture was very lightweight and thin but never felt clingy or dry, and while it had a noticeable sheen to it, the actual feel was more velvety than emollient. It stayed on well for six hours and was hydrating over time.
