Chanel Fleur de Lotus Joues Contraste / Blush ($43.00 for 0.14 oz.) is described as a “joyful color.” It’s a warm coral with a hint of pink and a satiny sheen. This is definitely a color we’ve seen pop up several times over the year. MAC Fleet Fast is similar, slightly darker and has a more golden sheen. Tom Ford Flush is brighter, more matte in finish. theBalm Frat Boy is pinker. Tarte Blissful is a touch pinker, brighter, and more matte.

This shade is a Nordstrom exclusive, and it’s a very pretty, summery coral with a lovely sheen that gives the face a warm, ethereal glow.  While it seems pigmented enough, it’s hard to build up color on the cheeks, so it’s not a blusher I’d recommend for medium-dark to dark skin tones. It delivers both subtle and more medium color, so for those with paler complexions, it is easy to use without fear of going overboard.  The texture is soft, finely-milled, and not powdery.  It feels like silk against the skin and lies beautifully once applied.  Fleur de Lotus is also extremely blendable and wore for eight hours without fading.

I don’t think we’re getting this collection here, which is too bad, since I like the shade very much. Just as an aside, that mascara makes your lashes look wonderfully dramatic!

Wow, love that colour on you, gives a nice glow!
I wonder if it’ll work on darker complexions. I have no MAC reference but I am Honey in Bobbi Brown stick foundation, nr 50 in Chanel Vitalumiere.

I don’t want to have a white powder sheen!

I’m starting to worry it’s too warm for me 🙁 I’m fair and cool-toned, and this may be a bit too orange? But it’s so pretty I kind of want to try anyway.

On eyes: L’Oreal Infallibles in Iced Latte, Amber Rush, and Bottomless Java; Burbery Trench Eyeshadow, Giorgio Armani #1 Eyes to Kill Waterproof Liner, and Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Waterproof Mascara. On face: Hourglass Veil Fluid, Chanel Fleur de Lotus. On lips: Bobbi Brown Bronzed Heather.

This one also looks amazing on you Christine. I do like this one on me as well, but I think you wear it better than I do. I’m more partial to the Rose Initiale which is really super lovely. However, this does pair perfectly with coral/warm lips. I wanted also to ask you how this compares to the Peach Boy Guerlain blush you reviewed yesterday. Curiiously, I did personally find this one a little tougher to blend out than the Rose Initiale and also my TF blushes.

I got this blush and it’s definitely my new favorite. It’s SO so lovely on the cheeks. I’m surprised you got it to show up on your arm for swatches! For some reason, I couldn’t get it to show up on my arm–but on my cheeks, I had no problems at all. 😛

I think another very similar dupe to this *in the pan* would be NARS’ Portofino. I’m looking at it now and it may be a smidgen darker and perhaps a little more pink in appearance but the swatch on my arm is incredibly similar to the one on your arm. The only difference I would say is how it appears on the cheek. On me, Portofino is much brighter, more intense, and much more pigmented — more visible, if you will. It also has much more of a golden sheen, though it’s subtle.

Portofino is definitely one of my favorite blushes that I reach for again and again. I know people have issues with the duration of some NARS’ Multiples, but on me it lasts 8 hours easily, if not longer. It’s not cheap at $39 but if the Chanel blush is sold out, can’t be found (since it’s Limited Edition), or if anyone wants a more highly pigmented blush that is a fraction cheaper, that’s one to consider.

I have to echo everybody else here – you’re absolutely glowing in this set of pictures. The makeup just makes your hazel eyes pop.

This is such a gorgeous blush! It may be a touch too warm for me if I’m really honest with myself, which is kind of a shame. Despite that, I think I might give it a look at the counter. After all, Benefit’s Bella Bamba is a fairly orange-tinted coral, and I was surprised at how well it worked on me.

I just looked up the swatch for Bella Bamba, and whoa, you weren’t joking about the color difference. I guess Bamba only reads so orange in my mind in comparison to the rest of my collection, which leans light pink. That’s not the most encouraging sign, but I’m still going to give it a shot! >D

Aw, I have one question.. Christine, how do u choose every day what kind of makeup would u wear today ? 😀 I think it’s really hard to decide what colour of shadow, lipgloss, blush you want to use, becouse choice is huge ! I think that I will think 2 hours haha 😀 Kisses !

I’m SO glad I picked this up! This is my first Chanel blush, and while I’m not a blush collector, I’m afraid Fleur de Lotus may end up being a gateway drug. 😛

The blush swatches way too orange-y for my taste, but gosh girl, that Armani ETK liner looks killer on your waterline….such a deep black! Wow!!

I returned this one because although it is my fave formula the color just disappeared into my complexion (does this mean my skin is coral?)You are right about this working better on fair skin tones.

You look even more amazing than usual here, Christine! I love the whole look, it brings out the natural beauty in you. Also, thanks for the post!

I always come to the temptalia page when I need to look at Chanel swatches. Love the site! You look really beautiful in the pic with the Fleur de Lotus colours.
