Chanel Eclosion (134) Rouge Allure Velvet Extreme ($40.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a brighter, medium pink-coral with moderate, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. The consistency felt more velvety, somewhat dense and a touch on the thicker side.
The lipstick did not apply as evenly as it could, and it had a tendency to bunch up and almost “pilled” in places. From a normal viewing distance, it did not look as bad as that all sounds, but it was there in the close-up. It had mostly opaque pigmentation that lasted for four and a half hours and felt non-drying.

The formula is supposed to "glide smoothly onto lips with intense, longwearing colour" that is "non-drying." It is a comfortable formula with its velvety glide--smooth, creamy without being wet or slippery, and forgiving of most lip texture/lip lines.
The finish is more semi-matte, though it will wear to a truer matte finish by blotting or after an hour or so of wear. They have semi-opaque to opaque coverage that applied evenly and stayed on well for five to six hours and did not feel drying (I actually found them ever-so-slightly hydrating).

Pivoine Noire (136)
Chanel Pivoine Noire (136) Rouge Allure Velvet Extreme ($40.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark, slightly muted red with subtle, cool undertones and a semi-matte finish. The texture was denser, more velvety and felt very heavy on the silicones, though the actual feeling on my lips was lighter-weight but not as thin as I would have expected.
These types of formulas can be hit or miss on me, as they often emphasize my lip texture, but this particular shade applied evenly and smoothly across my lips and did not emphasize my lip lines or imperfections. It stayed on well for five hours, left a faint stain behind, and was non-drying.

What a shame about Eclosion, because I truly love the color of it, but would hate the pilling it does. Might get one of its dupes, however.
Pivoine Noire is GORGEOUS! But alas, I have dupes. I wore Siempre Selena just yesterday.
Pivoine Noire would be my favourite out of the two. It just looks so good.
