Berry Rose
Bobbi Brown Berry Rose Luxe Lip Color ($35.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a medium-dark, rosy plum with subtle, cool undertones and a cream finish. It had rich, opaque color payoff in a single stroke. The consistency was creamy with some slip, but it did not feel overly emollient so it did not slide around while worn. It was comfortable to apply and to wear, as it never tugged on the lips and did not feel clingy. This shade stayed on well for five and a half hours and was hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$37.00/0.13 oz. - $284.62 Per Ounce
Best Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Color is supposed to have one-stroke color coverage with a hydrating, smoothing formula, and “nourishing shine.” I was impressed with the formula as a whole, as the majority of the shades were very pigmented in one pass with a creamy consistency that glided on easily. There’s a richness to the texture that does feel more “luxe” in a way.
The natural-to-luminous shine level gives lips a smoother, plumper look, while the formula itself is hydrating and many shades are longer-wearing. I noticed that the lighter shades tended to perform more poorly relative to more light-medium to medium-dark-hued shades. There was a faint floral scent (that was a surprise, I wish they had gone the unscented!), but I didn’t have issues with taste and found it very subtle on (it’s no Dior/Chanel-level scent!).
In general, I like Bobbi Brown’s lipstick formulas, and this one feels creamier and more hydrating than others, but for pigmentation, you can’t go wrong with this or the Rich Lip Color formula.

Rich Berry
Bobbi Brown Rich Berry Luxe Lip Color ($35.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a deep, purpled berry with subtle, warm undertones and a cream finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation in a single pass of product. The lipstick felt more balm-like and had a lot more slip than a lot of the Luxe lip color range did, which made it very comfortable to wear but gave the lipstick a more slippery feel over time. I didn’t notice any bleeding outside my natural lip lines, but the amount of slip and richness in color give me pause for someone who may be more prone to feathering (I’m not). The color lasted nicely for five hours, was moisturizing, and left a subtle stain behind.

Crimson
Bobbi Brown Crimson Luxe Lip Color ($35.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a muted, dark burgundy with subtle, warm undertones and a natural sheen. It had good color coverage, though it was not opaque and did not build up to full coverage with additional product layered on top. The texture was thinner and more balm-like, so while it skated easily across the lips, it was harder to control and felt wetter on. It felt slippery on the lips to me, though I did not personally experience feathering/bleeding. It wore well for five hours and left a stain behind, while the formula was lightly hydrating.

Ahh, I forgot how much I love this formula! These lipsticks are pricey but worth every penny, IMO. Neutral Rose is one of my all-time favorite lipstick colors, ever.
Love shades like these! Obviously, since as per my usual, I’ve got plenty o’ dupes for the last 2 shades. And a PMG LuxeTrance Lipstick on my “to get” list for Berry Rose, too.
Glad for those dupes, as Rich Berry and Crimson sound slippery enough to spell disaster for me! (Think deranged cat lady memes ?)
I love berry shades. These are all gorgeous.
Wow – those last two lipsticks are simply stunning! Love, love, love Crimson!
I wish I could justify picking these up but I have so many berry lipsticks that I won’t use them in 2 life times. I did just pick up Burberry Oxblood for my daughter. I have made a little luxury lipstick bundle for her including a PML, Burberry, Marc Jacobs and a Giorgio Armani lippie in a small train sized carrying case for her makeup when she travels. Every girl should have a few luxury lipsticks when she travels. I got her a Louboutin last year but frankly, it isn’t very practical for travel unless you want to count it as a weapon.
Chiming in to say that Guerlain Rouge Gs are not practical… have been stopped most of the time I’ve carried more than one when flying air!
I love Rich Berry and Crimson, gotta first check if I have any dupes in my collection but I want both.
Bobbi Brown Luxe Lipsticks are among my favourite. I’m loving Crimson though could easily wear any of those reviewed (I would but for a few dupes). Luxe lipsticks are now at CCOs and CCOs are more regularly having additional 30% off promotions, making the lipsticks more affordable.
Oh, that is nice to hear that they make their way to CCOs!
I’m loving these! I really like them all but I have Soaked but I might consider Crimson over Charlotte just for the glossiness.
