Bite Beauty New York & Dallas Amuse Bouche Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches

New York
Bite Beauty New York Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a medium-dark red with subtle, cool undertones and a satin finish. The pigmentation was nearly opaque in a single stroke, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without tugging. The texture was lightweight, slightly thinner and not quite as emollient (or as dense) compared to most Amuse Bouche shades. I felt like I could see my natural lip color come through, whereas with most Amuse Bouches, they’re creamier and thicker (not in a bad way) and seem to smooth out my lip lines. It wasn’t emphasizing but just not quite as close to perfection as other shades have been for me with respect to texture! The lipstick wore well for six hours, left a fuchsia stain behind, and was lightly moisturizing while worn.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is supposed to have “bold, creamy color” with “extreme moisture, soft texture, and creamy wear.” The majority of the range is very pigmented–typically opaque with one pass–with a few shades being semi-opaque but usually buildable.
The consistency is very lightly creamy to lightly creamy with some shades requiring light-medium pressure and can pull the lip a bit when gliding it across the lips, though the color doesn’t appear ragged and the bullet itself doesn’t feel stiff (while other shades applied without tugging, so check individual shade reviews!) The majority of the shades I’ve tested have been lightly hydrating to non-drying and fairly comfortable to wear for the long-haul. They have a herbal, lemony scent but no discernible taste. They wear longer than average, from four to eight hours, depending on the intensity and propensity of the shade to stain.

Dallas
Bite Beauty Dallas Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a rich, pink-red with subtle, cool undertones and a satin finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single layer, which adhered evenly without streaking. The texture was smooth, lightly creamy, and it glided on without tugging but seemed a little thinner and appeared more matte (relative to most shades in the formula). I didn’t find the finish to be as flattering as other Amuse Bouche shades as there was a smidgen of product that sat in my deeper lip lines, though it wasn’t noticeable from a normal viewing distance. It stayed on well for over six hours, left a stain behind, and was lightly hydrating over time.

Conceived in Dallas, lived 43 in the NYC metro area. No dupes in my stash for either city’s shade (or at least none shown). Need ’em both!
Something just brightened up my day, thank goodness! Because last night was a tough one…
You’ve lived practically all over the country, Nancy! Very cool!
Well, at least as a zygote/embryo in Dallas…so I didn’t get to take in a lot of sightseeing and cuisine tasting, LOL! ??
How similar do you think Dallas is to Guerlain Rouge G #21? They look pretty close when I did the comparison swatches, at least on my screen, but I didn’t see it listed as a dupe. Just wondering how they compare in person, because I have #21, but I also love Dallas!
These are such beautiful reds. Very tempting.
Beautiful dark pinky shades – vibrant colours.
