Here’s your recap of reviews of the recently-released MAC Powder Kiss Eyeshadows ($20.00 for 0.05 oz.), which are permanent and also available in pan-only form for $9 for those who like singles and have freestyle palettes with space! There are 10 shades in the line-up, and all in all, they’re a welcome addition to MAC’s single eyeshadow range. They were semi-opaque to opaque (and buildable), blendable, and long-wearing.

Give a Glam is the only shade that I would actually wear and I’ve got dark brown dupes galore that I actually prefer. In terms of the lighter beige shades, if they weren’t matte, I might be on board but they are so I ain’t.
Overall, a good release from MAC. I like a couple including the shade Give A Glam but it doesn’t fit exactly what I am looking for in a deep brown. I am trying to find a dupe for a shade that is over 30 years old !! Why you ask, because it was my favorite brown of all time. It had a fancy name, “Brown”, and was made by Revlon. I wore that shadow everyday for years, I mean years, literally. It was this brown that had so much depth. It was a cool brown but looked like it had a slight reddish tint also which doesn’t sound possible in a cool brown but anyway, my search goes on.
Bali Brown by any chance? It was my favorite eyeshadow back in the grungy 90’s!
Wasn’t Bali Brown but that is a great shade also. I love a good grungy brown shade. In particular, if it is a cool toned shade. Some day I will remember it and it will likely not be anything like I remember it as that happens to me a lot.

Only seeing 3 that I *might* get one day in the Pro Pan format: Give A Glam, Devoted To Chili and Ripened. But I’m in no rush to get any of them because, for now, I do have similar enough shades.
I got three of these, Give a Glam, Lens Blur and Ripened. So far I’ve only used Ripened. I used it as a one and done e/s and managed to make it look like I had used about four gradient shades. I doubt I can manage to get that effect again, I had a look through Kevyn Aucoins book, the Art of Makeup the evening before and guess I felt inspired.
I found the e/s vary easy to use and very blendable.
That should be very, not vary. (Sigh.)
