Best & Worst of Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk'r Bronzers

Now that I’ve finished reviewing the range, let’s review how well Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzers ($30.00 for 0.22 oz.) performed overall! The formula is supposed to have “long-wear” that is “transfer-resistant,” “easy to blend, and “light-as-air” with buildable coverage that “is hard to overdo.” The pigmentation was more medium to semi-opaque with some shades being nearly opaque in a single layer. For truly buildable pigmentation, I would recommend using a light hand initially or a less-dense brush to pick up and to apply the product.

The texture was lightweight, thin, and finely-milled without being too powdery, which did make it easier to control to build up coverage. Some shades were more blendable than others but none were difficult to work with. As these had a true matte finish, I wouldn’t apply them over wet or still-drying foundation as that tends to make matte, powder products harder to apply and can also cause them to darken/look patchy. They lasted between eight and nine hours on me.

I have also received some questions about what bronzer is my “perfect” match, but 1) I’m not really someone who reaches for bronzer, and 2) if and when I do, I tend to pick something that’s more bronze-blush–I also dig a redder, rustier tone with some depth as I don’t usually take bronzer all around my face (never really like the effect on me).  Inda Sun is a subtle bronzer that’s just barely warm-toned, while Bajan Gyal adds a really nice warmth to my skin that’s harder to accidentally overdo, but Coco Naughty is like the one I’d reach for again as it’s a bit more muted and not as warm-toned as Bajan Gyal.
