Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name! (Blue-green eyes)
Favorite look from the week: From Thursday-
Eyes: ABH Buen Fresco transition, PMG Deep Shade to contour crease, Skinshow Fever inner tearducts, Night Creature outer lid blended upwards into crease and outer lower lashline, VR Pink on inner lid blended into Night Creature, MAC Fig 1 to better blend Night Creature and Deep Shade, MAC Blacktrack Fluidline for upper lashline wing, Smashbox Fishnet Always On Eye Pencil tightline,UD Dragonstone 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil lower lashline, lots of mascara.
Cheeks: Becca Malibu Soliel bronzer, UD Rapture blush, ND Pink Champagne, and a little bit of PMG Refined Gold highlighter.
Lips: Nyx Prune SLP, MAC x Aaliyah More Than A Woman lipstick dabbed on lightly with PMG Ultra Vixen Lip Fetish balm on top.
Your most used product this week: PMG Subversive Mothership III Palette!
Any beauty discoveries (new or old)? That I’m finally in product burnout. Yep, overwhelmed, underwhelmed, exhausted. Make sense? Idk. But, this is where I’m headed deep into.
Coloring: Under my name, green eyes, s&p hair
Favorite Look:
EYES—MAC singles (Era both on lid and as a transition shade; Twinks on outer V, blended inward to darken crease; Shroom on brow bone), Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil in Mushroom under outer third of lower lash line, Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil in Cool Gray, and Lancôme Definicils Mascara (I’ve been using the same trial size for a couple months and it’s still really good!).
FACE—Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Lancôme Effacernes Waterproof Concealer, RCMA No Color Powder, Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Berry Pop.
LIPS—Estée Lauder Knockout Nude
Most Used Products:
Clinique Cheek Pop Blush, Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil, MAC single eyeshadows. Plus the usuals: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Lancôme Effacernes Waterproof Concealer, RCMA No Color Powder, Lancôme Definicils Mascara.
Beauty Discovery: Well, I totally take back my initial impression of Huda Nude Obsessions Light eyeshadow palette. In person, it isn’t nearly as pink/peach as it seemed on screen. I’m finding it to be an extremely versatile palette that works well with my light skin tone and green eyes. It will make a great little travel palette, too. This is my first Huda product and I’m so happy with it.
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Favourite look from the week: I used the Chanel’s Tisse D’Automne and Vice 2’s Strike for an eye look this week. Strike – the gold shade over the lid, with the lighter olive shade on the lower lid and the brown shade in the crease. I paired it with Art Deco’s Indian Summer lipstick, with Sephora’s Hong Kong by Night on top.
Your most used product this week: All my staples
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): That I have a lot of versatility in my current stash in terms of eyeshadows and lipsticks.
I love that Chanel quad and also the Vice2 palette (Strike was my first really happy experience with gold eyeshadow); I only wish I’d bought the original Vice palette!
Your skin tone/coloring: Light, warm skin tone, NC15/MUFE Y227, dark brunette, hazel eyes.
Favorite look from the week: I dabble in everything, but a muted lavender look was something I haven’t done in a while. I used ABH Buon Fresco in the crease, two Tarte metallic (single) eyeshadows for liner, mixed RMS Amethyst Luminizer with Bite Beauty Gelato Multistick as a blush, followed by Bite Pink Salt on the lips.
Your most used product this week: I continue to gravitate toward using Pat McGrath Corruption eyeshadow as a liner. I have already put quite a dent in the shadow (from the mini palette.) It is such a perfect duochrome for my colouring, and it is far from boring.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): An old discovery would be MUFE stick foundation. I’ve had it for a while, but the colour only works for me this time of year. It is perfect for my aging dryer skin. Love it. New discovery would be Bite Beauty Pickled Ginger and Dragon Fruit that I got during the sale. The former I will save for summer, but Dragon Fruit is the perfect bright winter lip. Bright lips are something I am opting for more as I get older.
Your skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Favorite look from the week: I used Sephora’s powder foundation for the first time in a long while – what a great product that is for me. Eyes – from UD Born to Run, Stranded on inner 2/3 of lid; Drift on outer 1/3 and outer crease; MAC Water Willow to line under lower lashes; on cheeks, MAC Rhubarb and rms Living Luminizer in Champagne Rose (what a great product); lips – Smashbox Legendary lipstick. I think I wore this look, or variations on it (subbing Good as Gone for Drift) 3 or 4 times this past week.
Your most used product this week: again, Elizabeth Arden lip primer (what a treasure that stuff is) under Smashbox Legendary lippie
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): I found I had a Sephora sample of the rms Champagne Rose luminizer that I didn’t even know I had – THAT was a real discovery since I’ve now gone on to order the full size; also the MAC Rhubarb blush which I’d sort of cast aside for the longest time, mostly because I’m simply not enamored of matte finishes on blush.
Your skin tone/coloring: Light neutral leaning cool with slight olive
Favorite look from the week: I am still very much in love with PMG Mothership V Bronze Seduction and I was not on a creative high this week.
Your most used product this week: Here’s a gem I pulled out of my stash: NARS Stud single e/s. I thought of it because of a recent shadow I spotted that seemed to pull both silver/gold. Stud pulls more tarnished and silvery on me than Christine. It’s beautiful for brightening the visible parts of my lids.
Any beauty discoveries… Not really anything new. I did enough damage 4 weeks ago. A product I continue to be impressed by is the Olaplex conditioner.. not the treatment one, the conditioner one. I colour the crap outta my hair and this is one of the best.
Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green/gray/blue eyes, warm brown hair,
Favorite look from the week: Someone from the comments here (I forget whom, but thank you!) posted that they purchased a few single eyeshadows from MAC and one of them was Cranberry, and I thought “I wonder if I have a dupe for that shade?” I do! I pulled out my Viseart Libertine palette and used the shade Chant (a nearly exact dupe for MAC Cranberry) all over my lid, with Resistance in my crease and outer corner. Paired it with a warmer blush, and blotted Tom Ford Casablanca on my lips with Buxom Full On Lip Polish in Celeste over top. Such an easy look; I might do it again for the holidays.
Your most used product this week: CoverGirl + Olay Advanced Radiance and Simply ageless foundations mixed together for my base, Ulta Cream blush in Sunrise, Tom Ford Lip Color in Casablanca, and Buxom Full On Lip Polish in Celeste, along with all of my regular skin prep products.
Any beauty discoveries… I will never get over how using my fingers for my base products helps make them look more seamless and skin-like.
