Becca Nectar, Poppy, Flame Ultimate Lipstick Love Reviews & Swatches
Nectar
Becca Nectar Ultimate Lipstick Love ($24.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a bright, medium-dark pink-coral with subtle, warm undertones and a cream finish. It had nearly opaque color payoff in a single stroke, which applied to my lips without tugging or dragging.
The texture was creamy with moderate slip, but it had good adhesion and didn’t slide around while worn. There was a touch of streaking along the outer edge, though it wasn’t visible in person. It stayed on well for five hours and felt moisturizing over time.

Formula Overview
$24.00/0.12 oz. - $200.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have an "ultra-creamy" texture with "eight-hour wear" and "pure color in one swipe." They're real bold with the "eight-hour wear" claim when it is a softer, creamier formula that's very comfortable to apply and to wear... and definitely not the longest-wearing formula I've come across--which is likely not a deal-breaker for those who aren't looking for long-wear.
The wear averaged between four and six hours with some of the deeper, richer shades (like a red or berry) lasting six hours or longer. They wore down evenly and were lightly to moderately hydrating while worn. The pigmentation was nearly opaque to opaque for most shades, and the majority of shades applied evenly and sat well on my lips without emphasizing my natural lip texture or settling into my lip lines.
They had a sweet, vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

Poppy
Becca Poppy Ultimate Lipstick Love ($24.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a brighter, light-medium coral-orange paired with a luminous, cream finish. It read coral to my eye, but it was more orange than most “coral” shades I had. The consistency was lightweight, creamy without being too thick or too slippery, and was comfortable to apply and to wear.
It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that applied fairly evenly to my lips but was a touch streaky along the edge. It wore nicely for five hours and felt hydrating while worn.

Flame
Becca Flame Ultimate Lipstick Love ($24.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark orange with moderate, warm red undertones and a cream finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation with a smooth, lightly creamy consistency that had great glide but didn’t feel overly emollient, so it stayed in place well during wear. This shade lasted well for five and a half hours and felt moisturizing over time.

Two picks are for Flame and Poppy. Both are very much my sort of spring/summer/early fall shades. But it’s Poppy that is speaking to my heart. My mom used to have a lovely poppy plant in her garden when I was a child. So Poppy it is.
Nectar reminds me of Party Parrot but I haven’t compared them. I think maybe Party Parrot pulls a little pinker since I don’t wear this shade often. I am sure PP would be my only dupe, if it is even a dupe. Lovely quality but neither shade is that appealing to me so I can save money for the 3 palettes coming in the spring!
Definitely in that vein! I’d say not as pink or as bright, somewhat due to Party Parrot being more matte! If you added some gloss or balm, it’d be close enough, though!
Flame and Poppy are just divine – love both shades.
Flame is such a gorgeous lipstick. I wish I felt comfortable in orange lipsticks, but I don’t.
All the lipsticks makes me long so much for spring. I’m tired of this winter that’s just begun.
All three are gorgeous, Nectar is def more me, but Poppy is so pretty too.
Quality is amazing.
I just wish I were wearing lipstick these days.
