Lethal Cosmetics Pressed Powder Shadows Reviews & Swatches (Part 3 of 3)
Remedy
Lethal Cosmetics Remedy Pressed Powder Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a vivid, cyan blue with moderate, cool undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was more velvety and substantial, not thick but definitely a richer matte formula than is typically seen.
It had full color payoff in a single layer, which wasn’t prone to sheering out nor was fallout a concern. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview
$6.00/0.06 oz. - $100.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "extreme pigmentation" and "effortless blendability" ... "that [will] last all day." There are two primary finishes: mattes and metallics, and the latter can also be used wet.
The matte finish has semi-opaque to opaque color coverage with moderate powderiness; it's a formula that is best used with a lighter hand. There was light fallout with some shades, though not at all, and they were blendable for the most part. Even with a light hand, there was still a bit of powderiness present--the brand did warn about using less with their formula--in the pan.
There were a few darker shades that had a tendency to sheer out when applied or did not apply as evenly, especially when layered over a lighter shade but most of the mid-tone and lighter shades were easy to apply and blend out. As a result, I found myself having better results by going dark to light rather than light to dark (which is more in line with how I typically work).
The metallic finish ranged from creamier, denser, and a bit thicker to softer, dense but still a little powdery (usually the lighter, more white-based shades). They were mostly opaque to fully opaque in a single layer, so they didn't need to be applied with a wet brush to achieve coverage or adhesion. I found that some of the more powdery, shimmery shades were more flattering on the lid when used with a fingertip or a dampened brush, though.
The matte eyeshadows tended to wear around eight hours on me before fading, while the shimmer shades lasted eight to eight and a half hours on me.

Afterglow
Lethal Cosmetics Afterglow Pressed Powder Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a bright, ultra-light blue with cool, almost purplish undertones and a metallic finish.
It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which was easily built up to full coverage with a second layer. The texture was smooth to the touch, dense but not thick, and blendable. This shade stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

Lethal Cosmetics Enigma Pressed Powder Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a vibrant, medium-dark lavender with strong, warm pink undertones and cooler, blue-to-purple shifting pearl that gave it a soft, metallic sheen.

Release
Lethal Cosmetics Release Pressed Powder Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a medium lavender with neutral-to-warm undertones and a mostly matte finish. It had nearly imperceptible pearl through it–I could see it in the close-up photo but not at all during application.
The texture was soft, lightly powdery but blendable. It had mostly opaque color payoff that could be built up to full coverage. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably on my eye.

Unearthed
Lethal Cosmetics Unearthed Pressed Powder Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a light-medium taupe with neutral undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow had intense pigmentation in a single layer, which applied well to bare skin with a smooth, even lay down of product that was easy to blend out along the edges.
The consistency was smooth, velvety, and a touch powdery but not in a way that caused issues during application. This shade lasted nicely for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

With the exception of the blue and the silver, I love them all. I particularly love Kindlewood and Unearthed. MAC Omega is one of my favorite shadows and I use it a lot. Although Unearthed isn’t the same, it has the same vibe to me. I will be picking up at least 2 or 3 of these.
Afterglow for a BRILLIANT inner corner highlight would be perfection!
And I also love the murky pastel purple of Release. Yeah, those two.
Itr’s good to see a brand attempt a variety of bright mattes and get them right, they can be so finnicky. I only wish that more brands would experiment with their finishes and include satins…
Yes, dear forgotten satin, come back please! Nowadays it’s either matte or very shimmery metallic.
You know you’re basic when Unearthed excites the shit out of you. *roll eyes* But seriously, I had to check the ingredients and am bummed I can’t use it as a face contour (damn you, sensitive skin!), I may still purchase it though as it looks like a perfect eye contour. I love those cold sandy/beigey dead flesh colors, they’re so much more flattering on me than pink/red browns.
Sometimes a really good basic is just that… so good that it is exciting!
I like all of the shades except the blue, that is I like the blue, but not for myself, all of the other shades went to the wish list.
I find Unearthed to be intensely soothing. The color combined with the rich, opaque finish looks exactly like wet clay to me. I can almost smell it! It transports me back to childhood art class and afternoons spent making little pinch-pots.
It’s so cool how certain images can trigger such vivid memories!
