Soft Pink
Anastasia Soft Pink Matte Lipstick ($18.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium pink with warm, yellow undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer, and while the lipstick tugged on my lips as I applied it, the color went on evenly and smoothly. There was slight separation of the lipstick at my deeper lip lines, though, and the color migrated into them over time. On me, it lasted for five hours and was non-drying.
The formula is supposed to have “full-pigment” with a “smooth, ultra-matte finish.” Since the description was a little light, I also watched the brand’s video, where the formula is also supposed to be comfortable to apply and not settle in lip lines. The best aspects of the formula are how lightweight it felt on–almost like nothing on, so despite being more matte and denser, not heavy or clingy–and that most shades have been non-drying (so far).
There has been some transfer, and the finish is mostly matte but not “ultra-matte” (certainly not as flat or matte as their liquid lipsticks, as an example). Some shades have emphasized my lip lines from a texture standpoint or due to color settling into them, but it depended on the shade. The wear has ranged from four and a half hours to eight hours, and some of the richer shades can survive a moderate meal and definitely drinking coffee. I found the texture to be the drawback; the lipstick is incredibly firm and dense with little to creaminess, which resulted in an application that tugged and pulled on the lips. It was also the type of texture that caught on flakes, so regular exfoliation is key. There were a few shades that were creamier and thicker on the lips, which were more comfortable to apply, but the majority were quite firm. (They also did not get softer with use.)

Cotton Candy
Anastasia Cotton Candy Matte Lipstick ($18.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a bright, medium pink with cool, blue undertones and a matte finish. It was richly pigmented with a dense, firm consistency that tugged on the lips as I applied it but managed to apply color evenly across the lips. The lipstick felt very lightweight on but did not feel clingy. It wore well for five hours and left a slight stain behind, and the formula felt non-drying.

Plumeria
Anastasia Plumeria Matte Lipstick ($18.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a deep berry with subtle, cool undertones and a fine sprinkling of iridescent pearl. It had good color coverage, though it was not opaque in a single layer. The consistency was dense and firm in the tube, so it pulled on the lips as I applied it, even though it did lay down even coverage. I was surprised to find this shade had actual pearl in it–it wasn’t just a trick of the light–but it was still more “matte” overall. The color stayed on well for over six hours, left a fuchsia stain behind, and was slightly drying.

I surprise how cooler tone Soft Pink looks one you compared to in the tube. I’m not surprised I like it either as I own Kat Von D Saint as well. lol
I thought it was going to be warmer, too!
Plumeria is pretty!
It is!
My favorite shade in this set happens to have one of the most uninspired names: Soft Pink. That shade is the warm pink of my dreams! Not too light and chalky looking, not going into a warm fushcia either. Right in the middle, yet not a 60’s hot pink. I must sound like Goldilocks going on like this! Ha!
Haha! Finding the right pink can be like that 🙂
I actually like Plumeria! The other two might be a little too bright for me though!
Plumeria is very rich!
Are these lipsticks scented?
I didn’t notice any scent!
These look really nice, I have yet to try anything from this line. My wallet is telling me to stop lookin at all these nice lippies lol.
There are sooo many lipsticks to choose from!
Some really gorgeous pink shades happening here.
Plumeria is my favorite out of these shades. I think the others are a little too light for my darkly pigmented lips. I love the name Plumeria also. It isn’t surprising that I like this color, what is surprising is that I don’t own any of the dupes. Yea, new lipstick for me!!
Plumeria is fun. I like that’s is perfect as an “office bright”…
