Maple

Anastasia Maple Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is a deep, reddish brown with warm, red undertones and fine gold and copper pearl. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied evenly, but there was some noticeable color that sank into my lip lines. The finish was rather glossy, while the consistency was smooth, a little on the tacky side but not goopy or heavy, and comfortable to wear. It wore well for five hours and was hydrating.

Formula Overview

$16.00/0.16 oz. - $100.00 Per Ounce

It is supposed to be “opaque” with “high-shine” that’s “non-drying.” It is one of the more pigmented lipglosses out there that has a smoother, more cushion-y consistency that typically spreads well across the lips. Some shades gather in lip lines, and some shades apply streaky; it seems more common with lighter shades and milkier colors.

The formula is non-sticky initially and develops slight tackiness over time. My experience from wearing the formula is that they are often lightly to moderately hydrating and wear three to five hours. They have a vanilla scent that isn’t too overpowering nor does it linger once applied (I notice it mostly in the tube).

Rum

Anastasia Rum Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is a deep, reddish brown with warm undertones and a cream finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that applied evenly across the lips with a subtle, smoothing effect as my lips appeared plumper and less lined. The texture was lightweight, creamy, and slightly tacky but was comfortable to wear over the six hours this shade lasted for.

Grape Jelly

Anastasia Grape Jelly Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is a bright, medium-dark magenta purple with warm, pink undertones and a cream finish. It had good color payoff, though it was shy of true full coverage. The texture was creamy, spreadable, and on the sticky side but did not feel thick, heavy, or goopy on. This shade wore well for almost six hours on me and was moisturizing.

All 3 look top notch in smoothness and super pretty worn, as well. If I didn’t either already have dupes for 2 of these, with a long planned to-be of another dupe, I’d be on these babies!
Looking at Grape Jelly has me seriously rethinking my recent purchase of KVD K-Dub, though. I don’t think I like such a vivid, cool magenta in a flat matte finish against my skintone, although oddly MAC Heroine looks perfectly fine on me. So strange!
