$aucey

ColourPop $aucey Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ($18.00 for 0.21 oz.) is one of two, limited edition palettes from the collaboration with iluvsarahii. I really feel like ColourPop has improved their powder eyeshadow formula from its initial launch, as their mattes are still very blendable and pigmented but seem smoother and less messy/powdery. This palette performed well with the eyeshadows being fairly pigmented, blendable, and long-wearing, and they also coordinated well with each other for a cohesive look.

Heavy Glam

Heavy Glam is a light-medium coral-orange with warm undertones and pink and gold pearl. It had great pigmentation with a soft, lightly creamy texture that was dense without being too firm in the pan. The eyeshadow applied well to bare skin, blended out with ease, and lasted for eight hours on me.

Formula Overview

$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.

The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Chic Happens

Chic Happens is a muted, medium-dark mauve with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque color payoff, which was buildable to full coverage with a heavier hand or by adding just a touch more on top. The eyeshadow had a soft, smooth texture that wasn’t powdery nor was it too firmly pressed in the pan. It wore well for seven and a half hours before fading on me.

Lit

Lit is a medium-dark plum with warm, brown undertones and slightly less-warm pink and plum pearl that gave it a more metallic sheen. It had rich color payoff that applied evenly to bare skin, while the texture was smooth, cream-like, and moderately dense. I had no trouble picking up color on my eyeshadow brush, but it had an almost wet-like feel in the pan. The color lasted well on my eyelid for eight hours.

Razy

Razy is a deep eggplant with neutral-to-warm undertones and a mostly matte finish. There was nearly imperceptible micro-shimmer strewn through it, which I didn’t notice once I applied the eyeshadow to my lid. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, velvety texture that wasn’t powdery or too firmly pressed in the pan. The eyeshadow seemed slightly drier compared to other mattes in the line-up but not truly dry (like some red eyeshadows have been). This shade wore well for eight hours on me.

I’ve decided to skip this one, because I’d only use Heavy Glam regularly, and Lit occasionally. I hope CP unbundles these at some point. Gorgeous eye look you did with this palette!

I have to agree that their shadows are improving! I bought a few of the originals when they first came out, and I found some of the shimmers to not have much pigment and have a ton of fallout. Now that I have Saucey, I like the shimmers much more. It’s really a great little palette!

Glad I snagged this….seldom done before you review. And with the look, I understand better how to incorporate heavy glam. I was late to the cppowder party, but am really enjoying weekend warrior. Think this will be the same.

Okay, I need to stop myself from even *thinking* of buying anymore palettes for a little bit, but this one kicks major butt! I do have UD Last Call and L’oreal Glistening Garnet, UD Fireball, Lorac Mauve and MAC Deep Damson, with UD Punk sitting in a cart??

Yesterday, I only barely talked myself out of buying UD Smoked. BARELY. And had earlier in the day bought that splendidly glam and very unique Jouer palette, a purchase I am super happy about. ? But, UD Smoked when I already have Blackout, Evidence, Rockstar, Mushroom and Backdoor? Nope!

I love the colors in this palette. i ordered it a couple of days ago when I saw some earlu swatches. LOVE! Really hate Color Pops bulky palettes. I pitch all of them as soom as i get them. Whar a waste of space. Pop everything into a Z Palette. So much nicer!

These shades are so beautiful! I’m trying to decide if they won’t be too dark for a very pale/cool tone with hazel (greenish eyes) i think they’ll be perfect but have my doubts. Or Phase Four which are very light in contrast. I love both.
Such pretty colors!

Heavy Glam is the only reason why I can’t pick this up, I just don’t like it and think it doesn’t really go with the other shades. Even though the price is affordable, I feel like I have to like all the shades to justify buying it.
