Anastasia Berry Adore Blush Trio Review, Photos, Swatches
Berry Adore
Anastasia Blush Trio ($30.00 for 0.33 oz.) includes three coordinated blushes in medium-sized compact. The blush formula is supposed to be “finely-milled” and “full-pigmented” for “buildable intensity with a seamless finish.” Based on my interpretation, it seemed to say that it was buildable up to full coverage. The first two shades were very pigmented, while the third was more buildable (truer to the coverage claim). The first shade was harder to blend and diffuse but the remaining two were easy to use.
There are five trios available. They are presently available through Anastasia directly and will be available online at other retailers on June 13th and in stores on June 23rd.

Velvet
Velvet is a deep, reddish plum with subtle, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation, which was easily buildable to full coverage but hard to get sheer coverage out of it. When I used a light touch and a fan brush, it was still quite bold and was harder to spread across my cheeks for sheer, even application. It was easiest to apply at more of a medium to semi-opaque coverage level and then blend from there, which wasn’t too difficult. The blush lasted well for eight and a half hours.

Exotic
Exotic is a medium-dark, reddish berry with subtle, cool undertones and a pearly sheen. It had semi-opaque color payoff that could be opaque with another layer. The texture was soft, smooth, and slightly more blendable and denser compared to a lot of the other shades in the trios (which have been thinner). I had no trouble blending or applying this on my skin or over still-damp liquid foundation. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading.

Desert
Desert is a slightly muted, medium coral with warm, orange undertones and a semi-matte finish. It seemed to take on a slight shine as I blended and buffed the powder onto my bare skin, even though it appeared rather matte in the pan. The blush had a slightly firmer, thinner texture that made it buildable from medium to opaque coverage, but it was still blendable on my skin and easy to work with. It lasted for just over eight hours on me.

This kit would be great for medium to deeper skintones
It would be!
If these are permanent I’ll just wait until I get tired of my NARS Unfiltered palette before I get this one!
They are permanent! 🙂 The blushes were listed as permanent via ABH social media. The eyeshadow/glosses were the ones that did not specify 🙁
This kit would be great for medium to deeper skintones! And I like how you get 3 in 1 kit, so if you can’t decide on a color, you can get all 3
The only downside about kits is if you only like one, lol!
This was my fave. Thanks for letting me know I’m duped to the gills on two of them…and by one on the third. Coverrrred. Hope I didn’t put cheerio in the last cp order; eye it every time. Also lem over fever. Since I have 6 dupes, mostly Nars, guess I don’t need THAT either. Certifiably in need of a no/low buy and some major assessment. I even embarrass myself.
No problem, KJH! Guess someone likes their deeper berries and plums 😉
KJH,I I’m’ right there with you in that territory! We need to form a Makeup Addicts Anonymous group, I think. Because, yep, I’m scaring myself lately, too!
I really like this!! I love deep berry/red blushes. I may have to seriously consider getting this. Ugh!
If you love these types of shades, do you possibly have dupes already?
Shockingly I don’t think so!
I only own Anastasia Love Letter for a berry shade, and Clinique Cola pop!
I’m swooning over Exotic and Desert! This one looks like it may just find its way into my stash at some point!
Velvet looks rather deep in tone even for me, though. I’m thinking that I could probably make it work by applying my HD powder to my cheeks first in order to help Velvet apply less pigmented?
Ooh, these colors are definitely up my alley. While I would use a lighter hand, the awesome pigmentation of these shades makes them a great option for medium to deep skin tones, as others have already said.
They seem quite intence. I really like Exotic, I’m going to check the dupes for it.
They were more pigmented than described, in general, I’d say!
I LOVE these! I bet they’d look lovely layered together. WANT!
The shades they chose were very pretty together!
Perfect for darker skin tones and yay that ABH is catering to a wider audience. Beautiful shades too.
Should be lovely on deep skin!
Nice colors! Can they be used as eyeshadow?
I’m not sure!
Would you say that Velvet is similar to Nars Mounia?
Sorry, I don’t think I have that NARS blush!
Loving Exotic but I have the NARS dupe!
Yay for dupes!
