Berry Adore

Anastasia Blush Trio ($30.00 for 0.33 oz.) includes three coordinated blushes in medium-sized compact. The blush formula is supposed to be “finely-milled” and “full-pigmented” for “buildable intensity with a seamless finish.” Based on my interpretation, it seemed to say that it was buildable up to full coverage. The first two shades were very pigmented, while the third was more buildable (truer to the coverage claim). The first shade was harder to blend and diffuse but the remaining two were easy to use.

There are five trios available. They are presently available through Anastasia directly and will be available online at other retailers on June 13th and in stores on June 23rd.

Velvet

Velvet is a deep, reddish plum with subtle, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation, which was easily buildable to full coverage but hard to get sheer coverage out of it. When I used a light touch and a fan brush, it was still quite bold and was harder to spread across my cheeks for sheer, even application. It was easiest to apply at more of a medium to semi-opaque coverage level and then blend from there, which wasn’t too difficult. The blush lasted well for eight and a half hours.

Exotic

Exotic is a medium-dark, reddish berry with subtle, cool undertones and a pearly sheen. It had semi-opaque color payoff that could be opaque with another layer. The texture was soft, smooth, and slightly more blendable and denser compared to a lot of the other shades in the trios (which have been thinner). I had no trouble blending or applying this on my skin or over still-damp liquid foundation. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading.

Desert

Desert is a slightly muted, medium coral with warm, orange undertones and a semi-matte finish. It seemed to take on a slight shine as I blended and buffed the powder onto my bare skin, even though it appeared rather matte in the pan. The blush had a slightly firmer, thinner texture that made it buildable from medium to opaque coverage, but it was still blendable on my skin and easy to work with. It lasted for just over eight hours on me.

This kit would be great for medium to deeper skintones! And I like how you get 3 in 1 kit, so if you can’t decide on a color, you can get all 3

This was my fave. Thanks for letting me know I’m duped to the gills on two of them…and by one on the third. Coverrrred. Hope I didn’t put cheerio in the last cp order; eye it every time. Also lem over fever. Since I have 6 dupes, mostly Nars, guess I don’t need THAT either. Certifiably in need of a no/low buy and some major assessment. I even embarrass myself.
