Danessa Myricks Spicey Colorfix Matte ($18.00 for 0.34 oz.) is a medium, reddish-plum with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was smooth, lightly creamy without being too runny or too thin, which helped it maintain its opacity if desired but kept it being spreadable and blendable.
The formula was quick to dry down, so I found that it was imperative to use a lot less product than necessary--as it was intensely pigmented!--and build up as necessary while working one area at a time. For cheeks, I liked getting an initial pop of color on the apple of my cheeks and then using a fluffy synthetic brush to spread and diffuse the color out; alternatively, for an even sheerer effect, use a brush the entire time. For eyes and lips, fingertips or brushes worked well.
It lasted well for 10 hours as a cheek and eye color and closer to six hours as a lip product. The color applied evenly as a lip color, but it was more prone to emphasizing my lip texture and looked drier on, though it was only lightly drying over time (more tolerable than some liquid lipsticks).
