Anastasia Ash Brown Eyeshadow

Anastasia Ash Brown Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a muted, dark taupe-brown with warm, yellow undertones and a mostly matte finish. It had a powdery, drier consistency that made it prone to sheering out. It was harder to apply to bare skin (definitely recommend a primer!) and lasted for seven hours on its own. It had good color payoff with a slightly dry, dusty consistency that tended to kick up excess product. FORMULA OVERVIEW | Anastasia Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is supposed to be a “finely-milled, highly-pigmented” powder eyeshadow. The brand has a large range of individual eyeshadows that are available as pan-only (no compact to hold them); if you purchase four, you’ll get a 4-well palette for $40 ($10 per eyeshadow), or purchase eight and get an 8-well palette for $70 ($8.75 per eyeshadow). The palettes are thick cardboard palettes with tabs on the side for easy removal/rearranging. There are several different finishes, and the performance can be better or worse depending on the finish, though it also ranges from shade to shade. On average, the formula is semi-opaque to opaque, lightly dusty to buttery, wears seven to nine hours, and is fairly blendable. The Metallic and Titanium finishes seem to be the best-performing to me, but there are some really standout mattes and shimmers as well. I have not tried the sparkle, satin, or velvet finishes as extensively as the other finishes, personally.

I like Victorian and Rose best, but am impressed with Penny’s swatch. My favourite eye look you’ve done is the middle purple-toned one, but the other two are nicely subtle.

IDK, I’m not seeing much here that would justify the $29 price for a single shadow. The other matte swatches didn’t look that great either, hoping the more unique colors will perform well

Oh sorry! I was getting these mixed up with the Natasha Denona shadows. Too many neutrals, they all start looking alike after a while LOL
